I'm sure the Purples would love to meet Graves County in the playoffs this year. The coaches and players remember that game. I hope Graves County goes undefeated and meet the Purples in the region championship. I think it will be a different outcome this year.
This should be a great game. I'm glad they were able to reschedule it. It will be good for both teams to see where they stand. I'll take the Purples by 5.
Ten pages of silliness. Comparing this kid to Larry Bird and saying he was better than Rex Chapman is so asinine that it's funny. He's got nowhere to go but down. I'm just glad the kid is going to attend a powerhouse like NKU!!!
I think John Hardin will be the big winner if South Warren moves up. They've weathered some of Bowling Greens best teams in history and a loaded South Warren team. I look for them to get multiple rings in the upcoming years. They deserve it!!!
1A. Russellville - Mayfield is gone and the Pamthers will be loaded.
2A. Mayfield - Who is dumb enough to bet against the Cardinals?
3A. Belfry. They are a machine and nobody is even close.
4A. South Warren. John Hardin and Franklin Simpson will be in the mix, but...
5A. Bowling Green. Purples win their 5th championship in 6 years.
6A. Trinity. The Shamrocks return as the top dog in the state.
Even though my Purples had four first teamers on the list, this poll is a joke. If Northern Kentucky doesn't have a vote and Western Kentucky's guy didnt bother to vote, it's a hollow poll. It's just something to make some kids feel good about their year and some parents mad because their kid didn't make the list.
If you can't motivate a high school kid in the playoffs without head butting him, you aren't much of a coach. We know how he treated his family, but that's ok? No. No it's not.
Bowling Green running back Jamal Carothers should be a Mr. Football candidate. QB Clark Payne and WR Deangelo Wilson return on offense and DL Daylon Coffer will anchor the defense.
