Usual suspects in all.

 

1A East, 3A West, 4A East and 6A East having the most parody in determining who comes out of those. They thankfully provide a little excitement.

 

1A- Beechwood and Russellville will be in the West Semis vs Pikeville or Hazard.

 

2A- Mayfield, Murray, O'Cath, DeSales, CAL Danville, NewCath and good luck to everybody else. Actually, good luck to everybody else not Mayfield.

 

3A- Belfry vs it doesn't matter.

 

4A- South Warren, John Hardin or Franklin-Simpson vs ?? I'm going with Wayne County.

 

5A- BG vs Highlands.

 

6A- T, X, Male vs ?

2A- Mayfield

Let's play 2017, 2018, 2019, 2020 while we are at it. Lol

1A-- Russellville - A lot of real good players returning

2A-- Mayfield - They do it every year.

3A-- Belfry - They would beat a lot of 4A

4A-- Franklin-Simpson - Really good players coming back. SW will be good too.

5A-- Bowling Green - They are Bowling Green

6A-- Male to repeat

I like Beechwood to rise back on top in 1A, playing against what I will go ahead and assume will be Pikeville. As mentioned above, 1A East is such a mixed bag, you never know what you will get.

 

2A should be a dandy. You have Danville and NCC looking strong in the East, with LCA looking like the darkhorse. On the flip side, the West should be an all out war. I don't know who loses what just yet, but DeSales, OCath, Mayfield, Murray and others should be right there in contention.

 

3A I'm seeing all red again. Pond Creek nation will once again run over the state. Boyle County will look to be strong again in the west. With the rumors circling Ty at Lou. Central, I think we need to hold off on the state predictions for now.

 

4A South Warren. Those guys are good...Really good. I can't even begin to tell you who in the East will rise up. Johnson Central again? Maybe, I don't know. Ashland Blazer may have a decent team next year, but SW should have another good run.

 

In 5A I like Bowling Green to be right back in the thick of things. Don't sleep on Highlands though. They don't like not being on the big stage for very long.

 

And finally, I look for Louisville Trinity to get back to national prominence. Well because, they're Trinity.

1A-no clue

 

2A-Danville, Mayfield, NCC, DeSales and CAL are who I expect to be at the top.

 

3A-Belfry

 

4A-South Warren, John Hardin, Mercer County

 

5A-BG, Highlands, Owensboro and I expect Pulaski County to still be formidable

 

6A-Male, Trinity, St. X

Look for Pikeville to take on Russellville in 1-A. Pikeville repeats. will be strong again.

It will be Mayfield again in 2 -A

In 3-A, no brainer. Belfry again.

The 4-A winner? South Warren.

Bowling Green in 5-A.

In 6-A, should be Male, or Trinity. I'll take the Shamrocks.

I don't think Mayfield can win in 2A. Other teams platoon more, and have bigger kids. What if there is an injury? 2A is so much tougher than 1A. ......I am so sorry. I had a little flashback to preseason from last year. Okay, let's see....favorite in 2A? GO BIG RED!

3A. Belfry. They are a machine and nobody is even close.

4A. South Warren. John Hardin and Franklin Simpson will be in the mix, but...

5A. Bowling Green. Purples win their 5th championship in 6 years.

6A. Trinity. The Shamrocks return as the top dog in the state.

1A - Campbellsville will challenge Russellville for the right to play Beechwood in the west. Pikeville or Hazard should come from the East.

2A - Mayfield, until someone knocks them off

3A - Belfry, refer to above

4A - South Warren has a lot coming back...

5A - Bowling Green, Highlands...

6A - Whoever gets out of Louisville.
