Bowling Green at Fern Creek Class 5A Semifinal
Adopted Purple replied to LVGambla32's topic in KY Football (High School)
What? Say it isn't so, Tank! You should be jumping on the train, instead of jumping off. It's OK. We have all made ridiculously insane mistakes in our lives. I'll just add this to your list. I do think it will be a good game, but in the end, it will be the Purples moving on. Good luck against those Tigers. They have improved weekly and it should be a heck of a game. -

Nice arguing with you Spin. I hope your son keeps playing football, until he finds something he likes better. He's a good looking athlete. -

4A Playoffs South Warren at Franklin-Simpson

The Wildcats have only given up 31 points in the six games since playing South Warren. I look for that stingy defense to continue and Franklin Simpson will win anotherclose game -
5A Playoffs Bowling Green/Owensboro Predictions

Christian County wad able to put pressure on our QB. They had 6 sacks. If Owensboro can do that, they have a chance. -
Bowling Green 44 Christian County 29
Adopted Purple replied to PurplePride92's topic in KY Football (High School)
Christian County gave us all we wanted! I was worried at halftime. The coaches made the right adjustments and we won the 2nd half, because we lost the 1st half. I think the main reason we won the game was CC had way too many players going both ways. They were flat out tired and started getting cramps. It was a great game by both teams. -

If Christian County had some discipline, this game may have had a different outcome. I've never seen a team hold as much as the Colonels. It almost worked. I can't remember seeing that many penalties in one game. -
5A Playoffs Bowling Green/Owensboro Predictions
Adopted Purple replied to UK#1fanisback's topic in KY Football (High School)
I don't think this one will be a blowout. Owensboro is a very good football team and they won't lay down for the mighty Purples. If Christian County had any discipline, we would be talking about the stunning upset of BG. Owensboro will come ready to play. -

This should be a great game. I think the Red Devils win a close one 21-14 -

That was then, this is now! I don't think they will get by Greenwood or Owensboro, but if a miracle did happen, they have no shot at this years Purple team. We will be reminded of that 2014 game for the next twenty years, at least. The Eagle seems young... -
Bluegrasspreps' Class 5A Rankings - Discussion (11/1)
Adopted Purple replied to Ram's topic in KY Football (High School)
I think Covington Catholic is the only team that has a chance to stay with the Purples and I think it's a slim chance. They give up way way too many points. Bowling Green is playing some very good football right now and I just don't see anyone in 5A being able to stay with them for four quarters. -

Pleasure Ridge Park vs. McCracken County

I think the Mustangs can beat PRP, if they can eliminate the turnovers. I say 21-14 McCracken County. -
Bowling Green 42 McCracken County 14
Adopted Purple replied to Purple Nation's topic in KY Football (High School)
The Mustangs came ready to play and gave the Purples all they wanted in the 1st quarter. After that, it was all Purples. I was impressed with this McCracken County team. They have a lot of heart and did a good job keeping the Purples out of the end zone in the 2nd half and avoiding a running clock. -

About the rankings...Bowling Green is ranked 92nd nationally by Maxpreps and Pulaski Academy is ranked 215th. So, the Purples might be a little better, at least by the rankings. -

There are at least six people that don't think there will be a running clock. Six think they will beat Bowling Green straight up. -
Again, I didnt take it as bragging.

Did everyone know that Trinity blanked their district foes? I didn't. I think it's more of a statement than bragging. It's a very weak district. Besides, when you're as good as Trinity, you should be allowed to brag a little.
