Cant wait. Love to play Owensboro. Great history/rivalry and great fanbase. Going to be a good game to watch as Owensboro has vastly improved.

People keep saying that but honestly I don't see that much improvement and I go to every OHS game. Yes, going back to the veer has helped them on offense but the play calling is still stubborn at times. Defense will still struggle against a good passing team. The disappointing trips to El Donaldson are getting old. I want them to go down there and give BG a game just as bad as anybody but realistically this is not the OHS team to do it. Call me a downer but I'm just calling it how I see it.

Purples should be lazer focused after a dismal 2nd quater against Christian County. They will have an intense week of practice.

 

I look for the Purples to come out swinging. Caruthers for BG should solidify his greatness at BGHS with the alltime scoring record Friday night as well.

 

Purples shouldnt and wont be focused on any other possible matchup other than the Red Devils.

 

I like the Purples chances to advance. The Veer will not fair well vs BG defense and our offense should be clicking on all cylinders.

I don't think this one will be a blowout. Owensboro is a very good football team and they won't lay down for the mighty Purples. If Christian County had any discipline, we would be talking about the stunning upset of BG. Owensboro will come ready to play.

I've become a victim of predicting blowouts by BG against teams in November that one should not predict blowouts against.

 

I'll take BG to win...that'll be good enough.

Not sure. He was still out last night which makes 3 games although he has been out of the sling the past 2 weeks. I heard that it was a torn labrum.

He's a really good player. If I had to pick 1 player n the city of Owensoboro he would be my first pick.

I think the expectation is that he will play. Its always hard to say with injuries but I think the coaches said he could return this week in a pregame interview before the Greenwood game.

 

Owensboro will need to execute their offense to perfection and keep Bowling Green from cashing in on any big plays to have a chance. That will be a tall task. The obvious recipe for OHS is to sustain long drives that eat the clock and shorten the game. Once again, easier said than done. I think the Devils are probably to one dimensional to compete against a multi talented team like Bowling Green. Ill give coach Fallin a ton of credit for making solid adjustments thru the season to put his team in position to get here. I do think he will have them ready to play on Friday. Its one game, and you've now given your team a shot. I just don't think this Devils team has the firepower to hang with BG.

It just seems to be Owensboro's offense is a bad matchup for them against BG. BG should be able to score quickly which is a big disadvantage for a team like Owensboro.

 

BG should roll in this one. Owensboro will give everything it has. It's playoff time and they don't give these things away, but I look for this to be a 42-7, 48-14 game.
