The latest rankings have been posted. Scott County moves up, Henry Clay and Mercer down. Check out the full rankings, Upset of the Week, Movers of the Week, Games of the Week upcoming and the Region Strengths, as well as explanations for all the craziness (the mathematical craziness that is).

I think the 9th Region rankings look reasonable enough.

I wouldn't have Newport behind Dixie and Conner, but in general, I agree with you.

Ballard lost to Bowling Green yesterday. Only by 2, so I guess they should flip spots.

Cooper is better than 22, just throwing that out there. Also, I think there is something missing from this because it has Cooper's record as 17-2 as of Friday and they were 19-2 as of Friday and now 20-2. I know everyone has a disagreement in the rankings but I just don't see how Cooper is not higher. Obviously a little bias

These rankings don't include games against out of state competition. Any games played against an out of state team is not included in the team's record.

Yes, we can only count in state games reliably. If I get the chance, I will take a look at Cooper, try to figure out why the numbers have worked out this way.

Was the game at Ballard or Bowling Green?

I think after the first 4 in the 9th it's a bunch of decent teams that won't be quite good enough to get over the hump in the tournament. Newport might be the exception - IF they can field/play their entire team for the next 2-3 weeks.

If it was at Ballard they should definitely flip, but if it was at bowling green it's possible they wouldn't. It will depend on how close their scaled ratings were heading into the game, and what they do in their other games this week.

It was at Bowling Green.

If out of state games don't count, it seems like Christian County at 13th is a little low for an undefeated team.

Christian County may well be better than #13, but I don't know how we would know it yet. Here is their resume by rank order of their opponent's quality.

They are doing very well, but they haven't played a top 25 yet.
