Mayfield, Owensboro, and Davies County all had players represented. -
MaxPreps top 25 Rankings
Adopted Purple replied to silo11's topic in KY Boys Basketball (High School)
The #1 team is not in the top 25? I like the Bluegrass Preps rankings. -
South Warren will not be nearly as good next year. They lose a lot of senior leadership and talent. They will not be as dominate as this season. Franklin Simpson and Hopkinsville fielded very good teams this year and return a lot of players. Everybody seems to have forgotten about the Wildcats of Franklin Simpson. South Warren will not be a lock to win 4A every year, as many on here think. Looking forward to finding out next season.

For some reason your post shocked me. How dare you disagree with me. I was blinded by my arrogance. My apologies. I don't think these two teams will play anytime soon. Probably won't until they have to.
-
No! Say it ain't so. This must be a mistake. I would never thought that. Nobody knows about this year. What about the next five years. You think they're going to be a dynasty or something. Until they schedule us, I don't see how anyone, except South Warren Fans, can say that. Johnson Central ain't Pulaski County. Wow!

Who will be in the preseason top 5 in 4a?
Adopted Purple replied to Quickasacat's topic in KY Football (High School)
South Warren has 19 seniors, I think. They lose a lot of talent, but will probably be in the hunt for another title. I'm anxious to see how they reload next year. -
I can't remember a Purples team that improved more over the course of one season, than this bunch. Coach Wallace and his staff did an amazing job this year, as always, but this may be his his best. With most of our skill players returning and a ton of young talent waiting in the wings, the future looks bright! It's a great day to be a Purple!

This BG win was for Purplehaze...
Adopted Purple replied to Purple Nation's topic in KY Football (High School)
My youngest son has cerebral Palsy and uses a wheelchair. He and Mike got along great. He misses seeing him at the games. He would be a Proud Purple tonight. -
Have they announced the attendance yet?

Deeper than this year? Most folks don't know what South loses or who they have coming back. That's your cue to tell us. You can spin it any way you want, but a bunch of cryptic hogwash doesn't tell us anything about your team, but tells us a lot about you.

I just don't see any reason for Johnson Central players, coaches, and fans to waste all the money and time to drive all the way to Bowling Green just to pick up the 2nd place trophy. It's obvious that no one can defeat the Spartans. I live in Bowling Green and would be glad to bring your trophy to Coach Matney. I'm sure he would agree.

Bowling Green 21 Fern Creek 0
Adopted Purple replied to Randy Parker's topic in KY Football (High School)
He looked good at middle linebacker, but he was a no show on offense. -
Bowling Green 21 Fern Creek 0

Fern Creek is very good defensively and they had a good running game. They just couldn't pass. We heard a lot about the WKU signee, but I think he only had one catch. Purples defense comes up big again. Offense struggled running the ball but Jamal Carothers was the man again. 158 total yards. Next week will be a great game. -
Fern Creek at Bowling Green 5A SemiFinal Predictions
Adopted Purple replied to Purple88's topic in KY Football (High School)
Momentum against good teams mean a lot in high school football playoffs. Bowling Green is the only one of the remaining four teams that have that going for them. Highlands has steamrolled through a bunch of bad teams. Pulaski County struggled with North Laurel and Fern Creek barely got by South Oldham. The coaches have done a wonderful job this year. This is not the same team that started the season. They are a veteran team on a mission. Game Day!!! -
Our guy at Bowling Green is great, but I think the equipment is faulty. It cuts out midstream and is gravelly. We are use to it, but I think it bothers opposing teams fans. Home cooking. Anybody ever go to a Logan County baseball game? It's worth the trip, even if you don't like baseball. To each his own.
