Birdsfan
The local television news just reported that Brandon Pickering, a 2008 Highlands High School graduate, was killed while serving his country in Afghanistan. Rest in Peace, Brandon...and all those who have paid the ultimate price for us. Edited April 11, 2011 by Birdsfan

Run To State
Heard about this at work today from a kid that was a friend of Brandon. So heart breaking to hear a true hero was taken from us all too soon. May God bless Brandon, his family and his friends. His sacrifice will not be forgotten. Birdsfan
I've been told by a friend that his name was Brandon. The news report used the name "Randy." It's fixed in my original post, and the replies that used the name. Sorry about the confusion.
