Yesterday, on day 30 of my extended engagment at Cincinnati's lovely Christ Hospital, I was lifted up from the (comfy-though zoolike) confines of the MICU to a much more sedate accommodation on 4S. My new room number is 4019. Yeah Team 4019! :-)

They've gotten a total of 14 liters of fluid off of me during this trip and 25 during the first trip, for a total of 39 liters of fluid!

Cardiac Cath over. Still too early and FTP many doctors with too many opinions to say what will happen long term. Basically, I think it boils down to my own conviction to take the course I want to take.

Lord willing. This dawn brings the beginning of the end. Back to the Cath lab.

Thanks for keeping me lifted up in prayer. They have worked! When I'm better and able to talk, I will share some examples. I've been pleading with Christ to explain what it it is he wants me to find in all of this sudden reversal of what I thought was a blessed new life and a calling for my future. I think he wants me to find....Him.

Thanks all of you. Today has been a better day, and i am slowly starting to feel stronger. Just need to build up my stamina as we pray for a possible Tuesday homecoming. Love and blessings to you all, my friends!

Bit of a setback yesterday, but the fight continues.

They're talking about letting me out around Tuesday or so.

After telling me there were no beds available today, they found one!

Official word just came down: I'm getting out of MICU today! On the flip side, the doc wasn't as optimistic about going home. He chuckled slightly and said, "I don't know. Lets take this one step at a time." Then he muttered something about the middle of next week. :-(

Frankly, I'm much closer to Yoda. And boy do I feel like it!

They just updated that number to 15 liters and 33 pounds.

Been here four and a half days now. In that time, they've pulled over 12 liters of fluid off of me. That's over 26 and a half pounds! Nice diet plan....but I don't recommend trying it at home!
