I should have been clearer...I listed the incorrect pronunciations that drive me crazy. It SHOULD be pronounced to rhyme with the word collard as in collard greens. Our Pike County Fiscal Court is commonly referred to as the Physical Court. Ohh drives me crazy. Another good one is "for all intensive purposes" when the phrase is "for all intents and purposes" One more that comes to mind is when people say excape or expecially when they mean escape or especially. Diabetes, pronounced as diabeetus, with accent on the last syllable. It's usually only people over 50 who pronounce it incorrectly. Perhaps I'm an old soul.
