I pronounce it something along the lines of "Woosta-shure"...and for what it's worth, that's how I've heard several people from the UK (where the sauce is originally from) pronounce is.

You're right. Just look at Worcester, MA. It's definitely pronounced "Wooster.":thumb:

"All Timers" or "Old Timers" instead of "Alzheimer's."

But, mayor, if you're running with a crowd that uses the bolded very often, you've got to look for smarter friends.

While it's not a misprounciation, something that drives me crazy is the use of, "I seen," instead of, "I saw."

 

It amazes me how often I read it in posts on this site. I really think some of you do it on purpose. There's no way that many people can get it wrong that often.

 

And, as bad as it looks in writing, it sounds even worse when you actually hear someone say it.

Typically someone is looking for information when this appears in a thread.
