I'll take Highlands by 5. Obviously they're going to have to slow the game down and shut down Pittman, and I believe Highlands has the personel to accomplish that. After the one point victory over Scott, I think everyone is now realizing the Bulldogs can get beaten, and I think Highlands is a good candidate to do that. We'll see. Good luck to both teams; I'm looking forward to attending this great match-up.

I'll take the Indians by 4. HC must hit their shots which really killed them against Beechwood. Does anyone else wonder how well working the ball inside every once in a while would work for the Indians as opposed to always depending on three's and how well they shoot.

I'll take NC by 6. I see a big game coming out of Giesler against a decently small Brossart team.

I think this really shows that Holmes can be beat, but just like Dawg said, in order for them to lose, they have to beat themselves which is not out of the question from Holmes.

I was once told by a 9th region coach who many consider to be the best ever that the only job he would have left Highlands for was the Holmes job. He said you would never be a loss for talent.

I looked, and Holy Cross was No.1 for a short time period of the '94-'95 season after huge wins over Ballard and Mason County.

I'll take Saint Henry by 7. Foust is a great coach who almost always gets his players to come out, work hard, and do well in the All "A". This is not to say Brannen is not; I just figured I'd point that out. It will be interesting to see how Speed will do with some of NewCath's good defenders on him. And though Saint Henry lacks size against NCC, I think Zumdick and the other guys that play down low will be able to battle.

Schlarman from Highlands is a good coach who works well with what he has.

I understand what your saying. Holy Cross's coach needs to coach to what he has. The slow sort of play works well with some teams (such as Brossart). All that I was saying is that Holy Cross has been successful in some games with such offense, but some games it has killed them. What your saying is valid, good point.

Good win for Newport. Congatulations. Newport has a team that can surprise some people if they play well.

Why do you assume that? If you score more points than the other team, then you win the game. So if Holy Cross is able to slow the game down and score fourty-five points per game and they hold their opponent to less, then they win. I don't see anything wrong with their offense as long as they capitalize possessions and play good defense which they were unable to do in the 2nd half of yesterday's game.

I've heard that NewCath is playing at a big venue in Greater Cincinnati such as Paul Brown, Nippert, and so on. Does anyone have know anything of it?

I think it's safe to say that Brady Hightchew from NewCath is one of the best freshman in Northern Kentucky.

Who do you see winning the All "A" state?

I'm not too familiar with either of these two instances, but I don't think it should just be assumed the referees missed a call because within the rules you are able to elbow someone. If you have the ball held in your hands with your elbows out and someone is right on top of you, you are able to move your elbows no quicker than your torso if they're in your way. But I will say that I don't think that would knock someone out, so I believe your probably correct about just plain poor officiating.

Holy Cross has been playing very well lately. I see Holy Cross winning this one by 6 points in a close battle.

I would like to congratulate Beechwood for a big victory over the "clear-cut" number 2 Highlands team.:laugh:

I think everyone should watch out for Holy Cross. I think they could surprise some people.

It is very possible that that's as high as they went.
