Lucky Charms Posted January 31, 2009 Posted January 31, 2009 Wow. Bet there wasn't too many that saw this one being this close. Including myself.
B-Ball-fan Posted January 31, 2009 Posted January 31, 2009 I can't wait to prompt ETA to review our discussion from a few days ago in the 'Can Holmes Run The Table' thread. Maybe I'm not so delusional after all.:idunno:
Ironlung Posted January 31, 2009 Posted January 31, 2009 Wow. Bet there wasn't too many that saw this one being this close. Including myself. "Baseball is Life" had this as a 1 point game and "Air Yard Go" had this as a 2 point game in overtime in the prediction thread. They just had the wrong winner.
Baseballguy Posted January 31, 2009 Posted January 31, 2009 (edited) Wow..Surprised by this score. Surprised a little, but by no means am I shocked. Yes, Holmes has the the better athletes and experience, but this goes to show, when there is adversity (foul trouble) anything can happen. Also, Brad Carr is one of the best young Coaches in the State. When you have a Coach as good as him, your going to be in most ball games. And add to that, he played for Holmes. Your always going to have your guys ready to play against your alma mater. I will not comment on the officiating because I wasn't there, but I know someone who will. Being all the way down here in Fla. I really enjoyed the information you provided us all.
NHS BIG DADDY Posted January 31, 2009 Posted January 31, 2009 If I learned one thing from this game, its that Eta must be a fast texter!

wildcatfan Posted January 31, 2009 Posted January 31, 2009 Holmes is a great team but not as invincible as Eta makes them out to be. They may still run the table the rest of the way, but there is still a decent chance they can be beaten, like any team, especially without Pittman, if he is in foul trouble. Boone beat Scott by 6 in regulation, and Highlands beat Scott in regulation too, so it is not that unthinkable that one of them could knock Holmes off in the regular season or 9th region tournament or give them a run for their money. Ryle also gave Holmes a good game for 3 quarters. There are several good teams in NKY who can challenge Holmes, and I'm sure there are several others statewide! The 9th is one of the top 3-4 regions in the state. This may be a wakeup call that Holmes needs if they are to win it all.

Brad Carr out coached Henley by a mile!!! Officials :isurrender: for both sides, I thought I paid to watch the one official blow his whistle all day. Who calls a foul like that with no time. :scared: Where's Reynolds Flynn :isurrender:???
