In response to Henry. Yes, Holy Cross had a phenominal team with Clark, Harney, and so on. And yes, they did lose in districts. They were to host districts that year, and Principal Bill Goller chose to have districts at Thomas More instead of at Holy Cross in an attempt to make more money, in turn giving up homecourt advantage.

I'll take the Indians in a 46 to 35 victory.

I'd say Pittman hands down from the players I've seen play. But also just to throw something out there, Egan from Holy Cross. In the games I've seen, he's played well defensively with great efforts against players like Pittman who he nearly shut down in Holy Cross's loss to Holmes. He also is a good, athletic offensive players and good rebounder.

I'm not exactly sure, but I believe Holy Cross was ranked No. 1 for a short period of the 94-95 year after they defeated Ballard (who was No. 1 at the time) in the Ashland Invitational.

This is a big win for Coach Schlarman and the boys, congratulations.

I was surprised at how poorly Covington Catholic played. They didn't seem to be as disciplined as the majority of Coach Listerman's teams. They forced shots, they didn't box out very well, at times effort seemed to be lacking, and overall I was surprised how CovCath just allowed Holmes to completely run over them in the 2nd half. Holmes went up and down the court with ease. Overall, no surprise but a bit of disappointment in how CovCath played in certain aspects.

It is great to see someone appreciate Coach Faust @ St. Henry. He does a great job.

I have to respectfully disagree with Highlands being the clearcut # 2 team in the region. Newport Central Catholic beat Highlands earlier in the year, and Holy Cross beat NCC, so then why is it just assumed Highlands is clearcut # 2. They could possibly be the number two team, but i don't know if I would say "clearcut"

I see Brossart completely dominating this this 10th region tournament. It has been proven true in the past, and I believe Brossart will continue to keep on dominating 10th region All "A" play.

I see Holmes winning by a large margin. I don't see Covington Catholic having anyone who will be able to contend with Pittman. I see Pittman having a big game, and I agree with Riley having a big game. He did fairly well against Holy Cross on Friday. I am looking forward to seeing the Colonels tomorrow night in a big game. Though CovCath is having a down year, you can't deny that the 35th district rivalry between CovCath and Holmes always holds for a good game. Does anyone know when or if Schover will return for CovCath.

I would also like to congratulate Coach Kidwell for a very well-played, big victory. This was a big game for Russell, and I'm proud that our boys came out and played so well against Ashland.

I see HC winning this one by 12 or less. They have a pretty good ball club and so does Newport. I see this being a well fought game. Newport is coming off a big victory of NCC, and HC is trying to rebound from their loss to Holmes. I think the keys for Holy Cross will be excecuting their possessions and keeping the score low.

I believe Holy Cross has good chance, but it will good competition no matter wins. St. Henry is always pretty decent and so is NCC, but Holy Cross has already beaten NC in the regular season. But NC was missing their inside presence then with Giesler. And just to point something out Stickman, it isn't that Holy Cross struggles to score, it is just their style of play. I have seen a few of their games this year, and they are fully capable of scoring; they just tend to keep the score of the games lower with their Princeton style offense.
