swamprat
His philanthropy will be his legacy here in Tampa as much as his ownership of the Yankees. Of his many charitable endeavors, the children of Tampa police officers David Curtis and Jeffery Kocab, recently killed in the line of duty, will attend college because of a foundation he created and funded a few years ago for the children of slain law enforcement personnel. I had planned on going out to Steinbrenner High for a game this year, just to check out the new digs. Opening night may be the time to go, so as to pay repects.
