Frodge, Boone, and McNutt did not play on a specific AAU team to my knowledge. Mason County had their own team that played in primarily GRBC tourneys. I think they won 4 or 5 of them. But as JJ stated there weren't many Coaches there to observe them playing.

Igo is a major D1 player. Take that for what its worth. She already has the offers to prove it. Who else has offers like that on the list? Ranked lower? She needs to be higher.

Also for Gold Sunrise since he asked first. I believe a couple players (like Schwarber) are better, but to be clear I think Igo is a great player. She's only a freshman and I think most everyone would agree she is a top 10 player in the region, including me.

I've seen Igo play several times, both games and scrimmages. Here's my thoughts: First, Igo lacks the ht to be anything but a 1 or 2. She's 5'7", maybe 5'8" tops. She is a hold back so I don't see her getting any taller. She is not super quick or incredible at ball handling like the best 1's. She's not a pure shooter either, in fact, I would say her 3pt shot was a weaker part of her game. The best 2's are great shooters. You mention all this college attention, but phone calls and visits are different than offers, you never mentioned an actual high D1 offer she has? From our experience every phone call from a coach ends with an invitation to visit. I'm not saying these schools don't have Igo on their radar, I'm just saying you seem to be building it up to be more than it really is. Given my observations I listed, what position do you see her playing at a high D1 college? PG? 2G? Where she is now; ht, speed, quickness, ball handling and shooting; it's hard to imagine.

Please hear me say though, Igo is really good and I definitely believe she will play D1 somewhere. She is really aggressive, plays really hard. Is a good defender (but lacks D1 quickness IMO). She has a great pull up jumper (that would be difficult to pull off D1 because of her ht). Her team needed her to score (lots of short shots) last year so she did. Igo is clearly a hard working kid who will get her college paid for playing basketball. As I said she is clearly in the top 10 in the region, and only a freshman! I think very highly of her as a player. Right now there are a couple other girls in the region I would take ahead of her. But not many!

Just a fyi. Our EYBL 16U team usually has no less than 100 D1 colleges on them when they play. 15U also has alot. Another one of our teams that played this year a 15U that Clephane and several other D1 kids played on drew several coaches as well. That team was as good as any 15 Eybl team also. All our teams draw a good number of coaches.

Just a sidenote, Clephane is another great kid and player. Tremendous upside. Great parents also.

AS for Igo if you really want to know her offers hydraman ask her dad. We dont publish offers nor visits. I just threw that stuff out there so everyone knew that she was a major player. Lets say this, UK and several others will take a commitment tomorrow from her if you want to read anything into that. One must have a offer to commit......:thumb:

Hydraman I talk to 20-50 coaches a day. I am aware of what is a offer or not. We have put a few in college so this is not my first rodeo. In case you may have forgot it here is a list and feel free to post your guys also:

First off I am female....:lol2: You stated about offers, I will check and post how many and who from for you. You also stated that there was not many you would take ahead of her but then said she should be ranked lower than #5. Don't understand that either but that is your opinion and that is fine. This is preseason and it gives us lots to talk about. Can't wait till the 18th when we have Meet the Cards night.

This is not an indictment on you or your program. Nor am I doubting your expertise when it comes to girls playing in college. But you still didn't answer my question: what position do you see a 5'8" average speed, average ball handler and below average 3pt shooter playing at a high D1 college? Given UKs suspect exodus I would imagine they have a lot of offers out there right now. My only point was that you were painting a grander picture than seems real. The boasting of your grand history with other girls doesn't change my thought on that. She's your girl, it's your job to sell her.

I would also argue that you have seen the girls in your program more than some of us, but we have seen all the girls in the 10th more than you have. And we have seen them play against each other a lot. Our opinions are not invalid because you have coached high level girls for 6 years. I only argued that Igo should be #8 instead of #5. And because you like Igo and have seen Igo a lot makes me wrong? That doesn't make sense. Come watch 25-30 games in the 10th and then maybe.

She is being recruited as a 1/2. She has many more offers than UK. I dont sell players, just give them a stage to play on. They have to do it from there. Post your commits.

Post your commits? What does that even mean? I'm not even a coach? And if you think you don't "sell" your players your crazy. I don't say "selling" in a bad way! I would argue it's your job and why Premier is the program it is. Clearly Premier is the top girls program in the state, because you and your coaches have done an excellent job recruiting and selling top players. I'm sure selling the top girls is easy, they sell themselves. But every time you get a decent girl a D2 opportunity that's a success in your program. And that's something Premier should be proud of. If my daughter played for you I would EXPECT you to do everything you could to get my daughter the best opportunity possible. All this has little to do with the girls in the 10th though!

Where to start....

Let's start with defense, because I personally feel this is probably the most underrated facet of her game. Igo defended elite D1 prospects in the 2019 class for most of the summer (she's a 2020 just FYI) and then made the jump and defended elite 2018's. Not only did she not have any problems, I would go as far to say she was a defensive stopper. The kid is a strong on ball defender, but she's exceptional off the ball in a team defensive scheme. Exceptional. One of the best I've ever seen for a girl her age. She's always in the right spots, she has great footwork, and is tough as nails. I don't think anybody is going to be dissatisfied with her defense at the next level.

Offensively she's a combo guard. She can comfortably play on or off the ball. Coaches that value versatility, a strong skill set, and a team before me attitude will love her (I think that's prolly a lot of coaches). I can't find a major hole in her game. Does she have things to work and improve on? Absolutely. But she has shown a willingness to put the time in the gym. As far as high school goes, she CARRIED her varsity team offensively as an 8th grader....and that was being at the top of everyone's Scouting report. She did that largely without the three point shot...partially bc that is one area she is still working diligently on but also bc when you have to bring the ball down the floor AND do almost all the heavy lifting in the scoring column threes don't exactly come easy. She's more then capable of making them, especially when she plays with players on her level that can actually create for her too (see Scherr, Maddie).

Maybe the best thing you can say is that she is an extremely hard worker that WANTS to be the best. She will put in the time. She has parents that support her and give her what she needs to make herself the very best she can be. The fact that she's only a freshman should be frightening to other teams in the 10th region.

As far as her being a major D1, she's already been on that stage in front of many of the major schools around the nation and they have come to the conclusion that she's a player they want on their team. At the end of this process, Igo is going to be able to choose from a long list of schools...both power 5 and mid major schools...and her and her family will get to decide what is best for her.

I give up. I officially change my opinion to Igo #5. She's great right where's she at.
