Owens to Tennessee Tech. Morgan Defoor to Morehead. Malea Williams probably has 15 D1 offers. Juliette Smith has not committed yet but has all kind of interest. Sophomore Kenady Tompkins is at least a low to mid d1 kid. So yes they have some really good players.

Ive seen them several times. Very strong top 5 players and a very solid 6/7. Top 4 at worse. 5 D1 level kids that start.

I like Mercy. But to rank them #1 at the start just shows how flawed those rankings were to begin with. And I certainly dont think anyone can argue that.

Nobody going 39-0. Marion County will have that for quite some time. Christmas tourneys are tough. Lots of games. Different schedule that what players are used to from high school season. Northern Kentucky is very strong this year. A loss does not define good teams. All the good teams bounce back. Its just the pretenders that do not.

Ryle breaks into the Max Preps Top 25 this week at #16........

Ryle beat Pick Central fairly easy a few weeks ago the team that Mercy played this weekend. Ryle will probably be ranked nationally by Max Preps soon( could be this week) if they dont lose.

Sacred Heart will be stronger once Toller gets back off ACL. Scott County is strong with the first 5. After that they are not real deep. Owensboro Catholic is the dark horse. They wore Mercy out Saturday at Bullit East scrimmage. Was not even close. GRC is tough. Igo is one of the toughest players in the state and is the consummate PG. Ryle has arguably two of the best players in the state in Scherr and Schwartz. And a supporting cast that is very good. This season is wide open. We will as always have a much better gauge come January the 1st. Good luck to all the teams as the season gets started. Tons of talent in Kentucky right now. Should be a fun season.
