Jay Scrubb signs with Illinois junior college

Recommended Posts

Jason Frakes is reporting that Trinity's Jay Scrubb, the 7th Region Player of the Year, has signed with John A. Logan College, a junior college in Illinois. There are a number of Kentucky players already there apparently, including Taylor County's David Sloan and Ballard's Clivonte Patterson.

Why do I keep thinking that Trinity let this kid down ? Just seems like that the status that Trinity holds they would have had him prepared for a 4 year school.

By his own admission, he was way behind when he got to Trinity. Went to Central for his freshman year.

Maybe they did the best that they and he could have done.

Wasn’t even allowed to play at T as a sophomore so he could get his grades up

If he wouldn’t or couldn’t meet the academic standard to qualify to play with all the resources available at Trinity to help him then he was never going to qualify academically at any school IMO

Sometimes it is what it is
