I truly believe if you don`t get your butt rubbed in the dirt once in awhile you lose that fire . When winning becomes easy the hunger starts slacking.

First of all let me say I can't believe anyone would waste a perfectly good hot dog on a fish hook. I'm one of those who has fished since I was old enough to walk. I still love it and plan to do more of it soon. I like to fish for crappie. They really agree with my taste buds!!! ?

I`ve had a couple bouts of gout also. As far as the pain, it was worse on me than the shingles. I went to the Dr. and got a shot and was put on meds . It went away pretty quick. The shingles lingered on what seemed like forever.

That always left me baffled. When I was a kid I would hear the great Cawood Ledford say this . I would look at my radio and then pick it up and walk to the other side of the room and hold it in front of me and turn around. It just never made any sense to me.

If Grant County could have kept all the players from the county together, they would have a pretty stout team. Mason Guffey , Moore who plays for Owen County, Smithers from Walton and the guard who transferred to Holy Cross last year plus the Hammonds boy who will be a junior this year.

Very entertaining game to watch. That`s the first game I had made it to this year.It should be another good one when and if they hook up in the district tournament.

I know a little about the Corinth Braves who won the state in 1930. After a second place finish in 1929, they sealed the deal the next year. After the state they went to the national tournament in Chicago. They placed third in it. This was with out a doubt the all time high point for this little farming community. My mom used to tell me about how my Grandpa would ride a mule to town the morning after these games to get the scoop on how the boys done. When the small town schools consolidated to form Grant Co. High in 1954-55 they honored Corinth by choosing the Braves as their school name.

Male should have won this in regulation. It was one of the better games at the Hoopfest.

When i was a young pup, all schools scheduled Thursday and Fridays off for the state tournament.
