I`m not so sure the kids are the ones getting softer. My kids probably got by with things that I wouldn`t have had a layer of skin left on my rear end if I had done. Luckily I`ve got two productive sons so who`s to say one way is better than another.

They had a great shot at winning it in 03. Their best team was the 79 team for sure. If they hadn`t drawn the 11th region in the opener , I think they could have won a couple games. In the late 60`s they had a couple shots to go to state but kept running in to Shelby Co. who always seemed to have their no. But for me the worst was I believe around 1970 when they should have made a run in the 8th but lost their opening game in the district to the Georgetown Buffaloes with Andy Williams and Carl Lewis.

In my opinion the basketball teams are not as competitive as they were in the 80`s 90`s and early 2000`s. Granted the Braves were never a power house but even back in the late 60`s and early 70`s they were competitive in the 8`th region.

I graduated from Grant and will always support them , but there is no reasonable explanation why your school has grown the way it has in the last 25 years and your sports teams have gotten weaker and weaker. So yes my thinking is there are problems somewhere in this system.

Stranger things have happened, but it seems this Colonel team is locked in.

The 3 or 4 times i`ve been there has been plenty of seats. Sweet 16 is correct in the matchup dictates the crowd.

I remember Freddie Hale. He was a scoring machine. If the Demons scored 60 points, he would have 45 of them.

Any line with Bryan Hudson on it has to be in the mix. So I`ll say Scott Co. rates pretty good.

This is how I use my last 2 days of vacation every year. I`m looking forward to it.

I think Scott Co. runs a lot of the old wing T offense. It helps to have someone like Bryan Hudson blocking for you. After watching him on the defensive line against Mo Friday night, i`m not so sure he couldn`t play there in college as well. Seems like he was in on every tackle. He`s one heck of an athlete.

Not sure if they just had an off night , but from what I saw Scott Counties Secondary is a little loose.

I think I could run for 50 yards behind this kid. He`s big as a house and hard as a rock.

Williamstown has lost a girl or two to Walton over the last 3 or 4 years also.

I think that will be a good fit.

If i counted correctly there was 60 in the top 4 grades in 1930. A little larger than I was expecting.

That was my graduating year. Sure doesn`t seem like 41 years ago. Where has the time gone?

Not sure of enrollment but Corinth High School who won it all in 1930 and came in 3rd in the national tournament that year was a very small school also.

I think the feeder system that some of them have has a lot to do with it. Pee wee football is where it starts .
