Eastern Kentucky had a team in the 3 of the 6 title games and won 2 of them a year ago. Pretty good argument for them being number one.

Might as well list the private schools in those counties.

It's all inclusive...

For example if it is Daviess County that includes Ownesboro, Owensboro Catholic, etc

If it is Jefferson County you get any and every Louisville school that plays football.

The Louisville area is head and shoulders above everyone else IMO.

Head and shoulders he says.... what would be your reasoning?

Got to be Louisville area and I don't see how it would be close.

The question is where is the best football played and in the Louisville area you listed these counties:

LOU METRO= Bullitt, Hardin, Henry, Jefferson, Meade, Nelson, Oldham, Shelby, Spencer

Spencer County has been strong recently.

Shelby County is traditionally strong as is Collins.

The Oldham County area has produced some above average teams recently as has the Bullitt County area.

Hardin County has John Hardin, Central Hardin, North Hardin and Elizabethtown.

Meade County is traditionally strong.

Even Jefferson County is more well rounded than they have been in quite some time. Games against teams like Valley, Southern, etc are no longer gimme games. You better come to play. Fern Creek, PRP and Waggener have been state title contenders in the past few years.

The two worst counties have been Henry County and Nelson County and even Nelson County can hoist up Bardstown as proof of the quality football played in Nelson County.

There isn't a single region listed above that can brag about having 80% of the counties listed in their corresponding area being not only above average in high school football but also produces some of the best teams and players in the state of KY annually.

That's a solid argument...

Would anyone from the other regions want to state their case?

And to add that the top tier of teams in the County are almost all better than the top tier of other counties too.

For the sake of argument I'd say the West. There are 6 classes now. I only see Jefferson county really owning one consistently.

They also have had regular titles in 2A and 3A.
