  1. I love the season the Braves have had. I also realize it's coming down to can they beat Walton in the district.I would feel better about this if it was in Dry Ridge, but it will be at Simon Kenton. They have a dress rehearsal with the Bearcats Wednesday which actually doesn't`t mean anything. If Walton is on their A game they could be a tough out for Grant. It will be very interesting for sure.
  2. 25 points and 10 boards for Hammonds. Breeden with 14 and Wills with 10.
  3. I'll be there. The Braves are unbeaten at home so far this year. That could change this weekend when you have North and Great Crossings in a 24 hour period.
  4. I think if the criteria was who has made the biggest difference in the way their team has played it would be Jacob Cheesman. He has those boys believing they're going to win. They have a different mindset from what they have had in the past.
  5. Lloyd has some real good athletes. I've been scratching my head all season wondering when they were going to get it together. I guess they did Friday night in Independence.
  6. This is all true. But Grants loss to Owen was two days before the Oldham game . So should the loss in the early season be discounted? Both teams will get a chance to prove them selves. I hope to see Grant in the region but gonna have to beat a tough little Walton team that when they're hitting can beat anybody.
  7. Grant beat Oldham by 35. Lexington Christian beats Oldham by 25 and Grant beats Lexington Christian. I realize how hard it is to rank teams. I appreciate you taking time to do it. Not that it matters but I could see a case where Grant would be ranked ahead Of Oldham.
  8. At this point I don't think some would change their mind. Whenever they have a good win it's always a fluke. And when they lose it's like I told you so. Even had one on here a month ago predict they wouldn't`t finish over five hundred.
  9. I went to basketball camp at GC. It was the Bob Davis camp. It was right before he left for Auburn. Kenny Davis came and talked to us and we watched that fiasco where the refs just kept giving the Russians one more chance until they beat the U.S. The American players refused to accept their medals. All us kids were ready to go to war!!!
  10. This game was very close well into the third quarter. What an atmosphere in Williamstown tonight. Gym was packed, Williamstown pep band had the place rocking (as usual). And the Demons came ready to play. It seemed as if they started to run out of gas in the third. Just another day on the job for Hammons. I didn't`t think he had his A game tonight and then I hear he had 25 and 18. Spencer Breeden had another sound game. He really brings the energy for the Braves. He chipped in with 20 and Micah Wills added 13. And let me add that the Demons Colton Feagan could play for anybody in the region. The kid can ball.
  11. I thought up until this point that Newport had a legitimate chance at winning the ninth. This just proves a point. That I have no idea what I’m talking about!!! 😆
  12. It seem like neither team could take advantage last night When Teagan was in or out. The game was 3 or 4 points one way or the other the whole game.
  13. Teagan is the real deal! I would love to see Owen and Covington Holy Cross hook up in the all A .Moore vs. Jacob Meyer would be worth watching even if you had to walk to see it.
  14. Micah Wills had a good game also. Him and Ward for Owen played each other hard down low.
  15. Final from Dry Ridge. Teagan Moore missed a three at the buzzer for the tie.
  16. They seem to be a lot better at home than on the road. Simon Kenton played a tough zone tonight and Dylan didn't`t have much room to work. They played a solid game and their big guy makes a difference underneath.
  17. Spencer Breeden led the Braves with 24. Dylan Hammonds with 23 and 14 boards.
  18. Just spike the ball and high 5 your teammates and move on. The rehearsed skits need to go.
  19. The Bills didn't`t look their best yesterday. I didn't`t think the Bengals were on top of their game either. If both teams are playing their best it will be a slugfest! I'm just giving the Bills the home field advantage.
  20. Grant has a chance this week to redeem themselves from that bad showing against Collins. They get a very good Conner squad at home Tuesday. Then Friday night they play Simon Kenton on the road in what I think is their most important game so far this season. And a few hours later it's off to The Roy to take on a dangerous Spencer County team. This week will go along way to determine pretender or contender!
  21. Hats off to Collins. They were on fire from start to finish. Grant needs to put it behind them because it doesn't`t get any easier with Conner coming to Dry Ridge Tuesday night.
