  1. Has paid his dues and deserves a chance at the big show, but is average IMO. One of the top 5 in the 15th region (could be the weakest region in the state for officals) and somewhat consistent, but gets caught up on touch fouls out on the floor while letting you mug under the rim I think.
  2. 1st Region: Paducah Tilghman 2nd Region: Christian Co. 3rd Region: Muhlenburg Co. 4th Region: Warren Central 5th Region: John Hardin 6th Region: Central 7th Region: Eastern 8th Region: Oldham Co. 9th Region: Dixie Hieghts 10th Region: George Rogers Clark 11th Region: Lec. Cath. 12th Region: Wayne Co. 13th Region: Clay Co. 14th Region: Perry Co. Central 15th Region: Pikeville 16th Region: Rowan Co. Tiebreaker: 2nd
  3. The Real Ghostbusters. Nothing else even came close.
  4. Melting Pot is a good date place IMO.
  5. I would pick Rowan Co. right now. The athletes they have make them the pick IMO. My picks would be: 1. Rowan Co. 2. Ashland 3. Elliott Co. 4. Everyone Else
  6. Big win for the Creek. Coach Breeding has them playing at a high level.
  7. If Price is good at J-town I would make them the # 2 team behind Eastern. Ballard would be 3rd. JMO
  8. Teams with a legit chance to me would be: * Ohio State: The odds on favorite right now. They have the most dominating big man in the country right now and enough weapons around him to cut down the nets. * Duke: If Irving comes back then flip them and Ohio St. When healthy this team is the best in the country in my book. Irving takes them to another level. They can win it all without him, but I think they do win it with him. * Pitt: This team is so dangerous they can not only beat any team on any given night they can dominate any team on any given night. If they get on a run late look out they could be the last team stading. * Purdue, Kansas, Michigan State, Syracuse, and Kentucky have the tools to win the big dance but will have to come along further than they are now to win it I think. If the tournament was tomorrow I would think only 1 of the first 3 mentioned could win it all, but ALOT can happen between 01/28/2011 and March.
  9. Bush League move by Titans Organization. I hope they never win another game. Fisher did things the right way. **I WOULD LOVE TO SEE BENGALS GO AFTER FISHER. I KNOW IT WILL NOT HAPPEN BUT A FELLA CAN DREAM**
  10. I think that right now Ohio St. is the best team out there. I also think that some teams that are built capable of cutting the nets down would include in no order Duke, Pitt, Purdue, and Kansas. Of all these teams I think Kansas is the team that could drop a game early. Michigan State will more than likley be there in the end with their style but as of now I am not sold. That being said the moment Irving steps back on the floor (If he does) for Duke they become my leader. There is not a more complete team in the country than a healthy Blue Devils team.
  11. I was at the game and he only played offense in the goal line situations. No player played both ways on normal offense/defense. The goal line sets for both teams had some players going both ways. I do not see anything wrong with that.
  12. I could have got bad information, but I was told that 3 of them were leaving to go with Salmons and another was going to move back to the Cincinnati area. Now that may not be all and many could be non-paid assitants (Volunteers) and if incorrect I apologize just passing on info as I am being told. I agree that this could be the biggest hire LC has had in a while and if it is not a homerun then things in Louisa could turn sour quickly. Nothing against Copley, but I think that LC could do a little better as a head coach if they try. As with most schools in Eastern Kentucky small town politics will have A LOT to do with this hire I am afraid.
  13. The Larence County Bulldogs (or as some say Bulldawgs) head football coach Luke Salmons has left the program to take the same position at Cabell Midland. Most if not all of the staff are following coach Salmons. Coach Salmons was the 2009 Kentucky State Coach of the Year after leading Lawrence County to a perfect 10-0 regular season and a regional championship game appearance following a year where Lawrence finished the season 0-11. Best of luck to Coach Salmons. Mike Copley seems to have the inside position for the Lawrence job according to some LCHS employees.
  14. I think the diffrence right now in the SEC and other schools is not the star athletes on offense but the interior on defense. The defensive linemen and linebackers in the SEC are faster and more athletic than anywhere else in the country IMO. That is where this game was won/lost. It is hard to run that zone read offense when you have a NFL caliber DT you are trying to read that can play both options. Notice how Oregon could commit to slow down Newton running the football but had to give up Dyer on the Dive. JMO
  15. He is around 6'4, but he has the skill set of a guard. He helps handle the ball against pressure, he can shoot from out on the floor, and is at his best when beating people off the dribble. He is forced to play the post some mainly because in the 15th region he is on of the better post players and possibly the best rebounder in the region.
  16. Behanan is the highest rated recruit in the state. He is going to UofL. I don't know if he is 6'9 maybe closer to 6'6 or 6'7 but is a 5 star recruit and the 14 year old Johnson more than held his own against him IMO.
  17. Tony Key from Russellville broke several durring his junior year and their run to the state semi-finals. I think the year was 2000.
  18. Christian County was without football players for at least 3 or 4 games. I am willing to bet that no team will want to face Christian County come March.
  19. One of the best freshmen in Eastern Kentucky would have to be Justin Johnson from Sheldon Clark. The kid pulled down 19 rebounds against Bowling Green and Chane Behanan in the Republic Bank Classic at Lexington Catholic. The kid is only 14 years old and could be something special by the time he is finished.
  20. I think Knight is a good player but he is not at Wall's level IMO. Knight can only dominate a game when he scores points. Wall could control an entire game and have single digit in points. Every player on the floor for UK last year was better when Wall had the ball in his hands. The same can only be said for Knight when he is hitting shots. Knight's game revolves around him putting the ball in the basket. If he does not shoot well he does not play well.
  21. Branch Manager for locally owned Bank.
  22. Congrads to your son on what sounds like a great season. I think you should be more upset with your (Greenup County's) head coach for not nominating your son than the Border Bowl itself. JMO
  23. Sheldon Clark is as dangerous of a team as their is in the 15th region. They have the best player in the region in Moore and 3 other kids that on any given night can go for 20 or more. Coach Spurlock has them playing harder than they have ever played and will be a tough out come post-season for any 15th region team.
  24. http://www.sportingnews.com/ncaa-basketball/feed/2010-09/enes-kanter/story/kanter-will-stay-at-kentucky-if-asked-to-sit-out-a-year Site says Enes Kanter's father thinks Enes would remain at UK for nest season if forced to sit out. With the incoming players. WOW!!!!!!
