Who takes the Sweet Sixteen?

The field is officially set. Who is your pick to take it all?

I'll go with Eastern, they are peaking at the right time.

Eastern. The best team in the state in my opinion. I would be very surprised if they don't take it.

Eastern will be extremely tough to beat.

Winner of them and Clark Co takes the title, IMO.

Bullitt East surprises out of the bottom bracket.

They're my dark horse. Seen them play twice this year. They could easily surprise the state and take it. Well, maybe not easily, but they have a better shot than most.

IF these two meet up on Friday, the winner of this game is also my pick to win it all. You know who I hope it is.....

Hedging my bet, I'll say it will be among Eastern, Clark County and LexCath.

Eastern is probably the class of the field and should win it. Bullitt East is in a great bracket and could be a lot fresher if they come out of the lower bracket. They won a pretty tough region. The lower bracket, obviously is much easier. They could get the finals and in one game who knows.

No doubt, Eastern is the prohibitive favorite but CC could make if they upset them in the quarters.

Agree you need to watch out for Bullitt East.

I think that this sets up just like last season where Ballard had to run the gauntlet while Shelby Valley had a very easy road and a Ballard team that probably wins 8/10 against SV had nothing left on Sat night.

Judging by Cantrall's rankings from Feb. 27th, 10 of the Sweet 16 teams were listed in the top 25:

9. Perry Co. Central

10. Marshall Co.

Not sure where the rest of the field goes (I can't locate a Cantrall's breakdown by region or percentages) so the following is based on nothing. I'm assuming that this info will surface somewhere soon. If I am correct about the order it was completely by luck.

12. Wayne Co. (district runner-up)

13. Bell Co.

14. Rowan Co.

15. Bardstown

16. Shelby Valley (district runner-up)

I'll take EASTERN and BULLITT EAST in the finals - with EASTERN winning!

I'm not sure if anyone has noticed this yet but, the upper bracket has the top 6 teams according to the latest ratings. Session 5, beginning at Noon on Friday is setting up for the classic, "Greatest Show In Hoops". There's only one thing that would stop me from going to these games....a round of golf at AUGUSTA NATIONAL

Me either and I have looked for one. I like the CJ's better it is the media and coaches poll and not computer generated.
