Pike Central coach Ronn Varney has resigned as posted on Mountain Top Sports Facebook page.  Varney was 11-22 in 3 seasons as the Hawks head coach. The team this past season started off great winning their first 4 games and 5 of the first 6 then went on to lose their next five games to end the season. They defeated Martin Co. 9-6 in the 2nd game of the season then in the playoffs lost to Martin Co. 43-3.
