stick1
Wake showed the heart of a champion. Grobe is hard not to like! I was very proud to see Louisville represent but even more proud seeing Brohm standing on the big stage with the MVP trophy! I would also like to tip my cap to Urrittia. There were times in the game where some big time WR's would have been complaining or showing frustration. He just kept going to work! Congrats to UofL and all of your fans! It would have been interesting to see the outcome if Wake ever blocked one of those kicks. Was that guy everywhere or what!!!
TheDeuce
Wake held on... score was much closer than most expected....I think UL got a big break with it being Wake. Sorry to disappoint you...
rltrace
Wake deserves tremendous credit for their defensive effort fot the first 3 quarters and especially for forcing turnovers. Skinner was tremendous against a ferocious pass rush, constantly scrambling to find wide open receivers in tough 3rd down situations. The UL defense bent but they never broke for those first 3 quarters and in the 4th they dominated. When things looked their worst at 13-10 Wake, Brohm reached down like the great ones do and found a way to right his ship, the entire offense reacted and the Cards as they have many times this season began their methodical marches to the endzone and when that happens its trophy time. Congrats to the Cards and Coach Petrino!!! And thanks for covering the spread.

Birdsfan
Just to add to my last post, I really liked Miami. Very laid back type of place, always something to do. I also really like Dolphin Stadium...I've been to LP Field and Heinz Field this year, and I like Dolphin Stadium better than both of those places. The screens in the endzones are HUGE. I'm pretty sure I saw you on TV. But I'm not totally sure what you look like; so it might have been the wrong guy. CoachBuckett
Well, just got back to Louisville...Had an AWESOME time down on Miami Beach and had a blast at the game...Definitley the most fun I've had at a football game...The atmosphere was nuts down there. There were Miami (U) fans down there pulling for us, and I even saw a couple guys with WVU shirts on down there cheering us on. Wake played a great game, and showed they weren't going to lay down, but the Cards did what they needed to do to pull away. A good showing for the Cards in their first victory in the state of Florida EVER. Go Cards!! :ylsuper You looked good on the Tube last night Deuce! mcpapa
The Wake D reminded me a lot of the UC D that gave UL problems. That's one of the things that makes Brohm so big in NFL circles. He doesn't get flustered very often, and when he does, he keeps working hard. He's got one tough decision ahead of him... I would imagine that seeing what happened to his running mate in Game 1 of the season would enter the thought process. That being said, the return of a healthy Brohm and Bush would make for some offensive fireworks for sure.
