nkypete
$40M year 1 signing with the Dodgers ($45M year 2). $18.9M one year rejected qualifying offer from the Reds. That's all you need to know about who is rich and who is not.
nkypete
Agent Rachel Luba is set for life now. Negotiated a contract for the highest paid player in MLB. Wow.

What does an agent make? 3%? Researched it on Google. NBA and NFL cap agents at 3%. MLB has no cap. It looks like Scott Boras gets 4-5%. If Luba gets 4%, she makes $1.6M year one. 16thBBall Fan
There is something wrong when Bauer is going to make more money than the 26 man payrolls for Cleveland, Baltimore, and Pittsburgh. That just don't seem right to me. Maybe it's just me.
Tomcats1990
As a lifetime Reds fan this sucks. I can’t blame him for going after the money, he is set for life with a 3 year deal. Reds are bottom feeders and looks like they will be forever.

It was more of a service-oriented situation. Meaning she charged a flat rate for this, a flat rate for that, and so on. Then each client could decide what he wanted her to take care of. Evidently it's pretty groundbreaking in the agent world.
