sportsfan41
I "can" drive a stick shift but haven't in well over a decade. With that said I've been riding motorcycles for 12-13 years and it's essentially the same concept.
coldweatherfan
This is the first time in my life that at least one of my cars isn't a stick. I learned to drive on a three on the tree. All of my boys first car was a stick. One of them loves a stick and still drives one. The other three went automatic, but they can drive one. Oldercoach
Some of us drove Chevy six-bangers with three-on-the-tree. You could time your RPMs to shift into 2nd and then 3rd without using the clutch. Probably you younger guys have no clue. "The older we get, the better we used to be."

TheDeuce
Yep. I wouldn't mind having one, but can't imagine having one as my daily driver in a city.
B-Ball-fan
Nope. I wonder what percentage of cars on the road are stick these days?

Randy Parker
Baptism by fire for me. My best friend worked at a hospital in downtown Baltimore and he had a hernia procedure and couldn’t drive for a while. I took him to work a couple of times and drove him there in his old Maverick. I was probably 21 at the time and all of our family cars were automatics. Great place to learn on the fly. Did you find it easier to drive a stick or a stagecoach? 4x4
Yes, I drive a 5 speed Honda Civic and a 5 speed Jeep Wrangler. I try to drive the Honda 4 days a week and the Jeep 1 day to balance the money spent on gas
