The dirt keeps piling up at Louisville on Tom Jurich'''s watch

Dan Wetzel really blasts Jurich.

The Cards cheated. And the AD is so delusional he doesn’t appear to care at all. He isn’t just not blaming or disciplining his assistant coach, he’s throwing a pity party for the guy.

If that’s the attitude of the chief administrator, well, is it really that big of a surprise that Louisville is the first school nailed in this scandal?

Sure, sure, we attempted to cheat but we didn’t actually cheat because of circumstance. Plus, we already knew some of the secret information, so, trust us, it wouldn’t have mattered at all. Oh, and while we were completely wrong the last time we discussed this, you can totally trust what we are saying now. It’s the truth. Scout’s Honor. Now leave us alone because people asking us about this is unfair to us.

Those poor Victim Cardinals. Can someone get Papa John to build a safe space for them?

Jurich’s statement is so comically ridiculous it doesn’t even merit outrage. Just laughs. Of course Tom Jurich would sign off on that.

As usual, Mike Rutherford is spot on in this matter:

WakeyLeaks Outrage: I don't get it, but I get it - Card Chronicle

Spot on is right. I agree with him 100%. We may get to 10 or 15 schools who received info before it is all said and done but UL is going to be the focal point for many because of all the other things that have happened there. The kid who is never in trouble talks in class and the teacher just says shhh. The kid who has been in trouble all year talks in class and he gets sent to the principal's office.

UL got a new set of tires for $50 and didn't ask questions, and so did other schools. But this is the fourth time UL got some hot merchandise so to a lot of people they look like the bad guys as much as the dude who stole the tires.

I don't disagree. When you hire low character guys like Petrino and Pitino you won't get the benefit of the doubt when bad things happen...and you really don't deserve it.

WF coach today said that the equipment managers found the data that UL had in their possession on the WF sidelines when they started to set up for the game.

The data was so detailed it included formations with personnel that WF had installed specifically for the UL game and had not used previously. Once they realized UL had all that info they could not run offensive plays that they had practiced all week just for this game.

The coach said the players were upset that formations and personnel groupings they had practiced all week were not used and called the coaches out for not giving them the best chance to win the game. The WF staff then had to call a team meeting and tell the players why they did not use the formations/plays. At that point they said they did not know if they had been hacked and the info stolen or something else had happened.

It's Johnny Manziel. That equals national news.

Someone used the operative word earlier..."optics". Jackson appears to be a great young man and Manziel has nothing to teach him...he has continually failed for four years to learn the optics lesson himself.
