kyyank
Devil's advocate here, did Barker really have the best season of all the qb's in NKY? Talent wise, he may be the best but what you say? What about Burchell? I thought he missed a bunch of games due to injury. Talented, but did he have the best year? Discuss.

Total TDs: Houliston 54 in 14 games Kuntz 46 in 13 games Barker 43 in 12 games Total yards per game Barker 296 Houliston 278 Kuntz 267 And if we're just going by stats then we can probably add Ackerson from Bellevue who had about 315 yards total offense/game. Eyeball test answers it for me.
Mr. Sixer
Somebody didn't do their homework big time in defense. There is no way Cooper Safety Kyle Henderson does not make either of these teams on defense. All he did was have 130 tackles, finished 5th in the State in tackles, and led the State with 13 tackles per game. Not taking anything away from the guys on this list but some players made both O/D teams that should/could have been replaced with Henderson. Just my opinion but the stats clearly speak for themselves in this case.

Barker came in the season with the hype and while he didn't necessarily set himself apart from the other 2 mentioned it's not like he didn't have the same success. Plus everyone knows Houliston and Kuntz had a lot more talent surrounding them on offense and even defense for that matter which certainly helps. uk#1fan
Plus Kuntz beat Barker and Houliston lost to Collins. Kuntz beat Collins.

Yes he was a sure tackler and brought down a lot of players that made it deep into the secondary when Coopers D Line and LB's couldn't get the job done up front. Does that mean he's automatically better than the other players that were selected because their teams did a better job of stuffing/stopping the offensive threat before it ever made it to their level?
