Science Friction
Neither of these places would be somewhere I would want to hang out on a pleasure trip. Which one, Iran or North Korea is the most dangerous? On the one hand, you have Iran and its hardline religious clerics and anywhere you have hard-line religion you have serious danger. On the other hand, you have North Korea and that Dennis Rodman-lovin' wacko kid that controls the people there. Get rid of the religious nuts in Iran and that place would be very different. Many of the Iranian people love what the West has to offer. They bowl, listen to pop music, women can even own businesses there. In North Korea , it's different. That place is shut off from the rest of the world. They have been brainwashed to believe that America is apt to attack them at any time. They have nuclear weapons. Iran is likely going to be in check for awhile as far as nuclear weapons are concerned. North Korea, quite frankly, is one big national CULT. I could see Kim Jong-un wanting to commit suicide on a mega-scale and take out a good part of the world with them. The Iranians, for the most part, are intelligent people. Yes, the religious faction is scary and they don't mind exporting terror, but they have a lot to lose by behaving badly now. The non-Ayatollah's there are fairly moderate. Kim, on the other hand, is just a 33 year-old sociopath with a mentality of about a 12 year-old. He might just think it would be funny to blow up part of the world. NK is one of the strangest societies, if not the strangest, on the planet. My vote goes to NK as the most dangerous at this time. Not that Iran is a spa or a resort, but I think NK is worse. You may disagree. What is the most dangerous nation on Earth? Iran , North Korea , or some other ?
InItToWinIt
It's really tough to say, because of how little we know about North Korea. I mean, it seems as if every other month Kim Jong Un is publicly announcing a war against the US... yet we are still here. I do think it would be dangerous to be there alone though, because I imagine that communication with people of other nations is scarce.
Hellcats
Iran. They flinch at Israel and we have WW3. Nobody supports North Korea.
All Tell
Most dangerous to whom? I don't think NK poses a serious threat in as much as if they are stupid enough to actually use a nuclear weapon they are toast, they stand alone. Iran on the other hand poses a very real threat to Israel and Israel my feel the need to protect themselves. If that happens sides are quickly drawn and WWIII happens. NKY Bandit
Hellcats is dead on. As soon as the NK population gets electricity and the internet, they hand Kim by the tallest tree in Korea. Billions will surf for pics of Pam Anderson and the address of the local McDonalds. Iran? Most volatile powderkeg in my lifetime. A sneeze by the wrong guy could send Israeli missiles dropping like rain on Tehran.
PepRock01
Gonna disagree with SF on NK. I'd love to take a trip there to see just how crazy it is. I mean I know I would be only shown the best of everything because that is how they do their tours. Minders and "escorts" to make sure you start anything or spread any "dangerous ideas." Still a fascinating and alien place. Knowing my luck I would take a picture of a statue of the"Eternal President" and cut off the feet by accident and get thrown in a bloody gulag. Bluegrasscard
Iran threatens the House of Saud. And that house determines what our currency is worth. Iran by a long, long, long shot.

Bengal Maniac
Iran and it isn't even close. No one takes that wacko in NK seriously. He has no allies, nothing.

TexasRanger
Short term its NK. Long term Iran. NK is trying so hard to develop long range ballistic missiles that I could see them "accidentally" let one fly. They more than likely will start small attacks on SK trying to draw the US into a battle on their home turf. Iran with the sanctions now removed will be ramping up the military. This will eventually lead to WW3. This will take place in 10 to 12 years. Edited January 19, 2016 by TexasRanger add word
nkypete
I would vote for any one of these countries who would think about using chemical weapons. Syria?
HHSHOG62
To expound on my previous Russia comment, isn't it funny how Russia stands behind the 2 countries originally mentioned, and Syria which was just recently mentioned? To an extent relations between Russia and NK have loosened, but you better believe that Putin wants to see the last definitive communist party survive. He supports Iran and Syria in the to maintain influence and trading partners in the Middle East as a "power check" against the US. Putin has showed numerous times his disregard for international law (Ukraine invasion). He has the second most advanced military in the world. He has the support of his country (although it has been dampened recently, I would hate to see Russia dissolve into a true military state). He has used that military to push the boundaries of the current administration, and the lack of action for our administration has emboldened him. He has the money, and the allies with the money. It is well documented that he would love nothing more than a resurrection of the Soviet Union. Pretty much every category that Iran and NK lack in determining them the greatest threat, Russia has. Now, I am not saying prepare for a Red Dawn Russian invasion. However, if there was one country that I would fear an attack from, it would be Russia before anyone else.
