The only thing I see that I don't like is CAL in A Division 1 is no better than the 3A now, just send them the trophy, why not put them in 2A Division 1 or 2 and let's see how that plays out? There rating is higher than anyone in 4 or 5A, take the current classes out of play, let the rating numbers fall where they fall, especially if you want to do away with districts and play whomever you want to play. Then use the ratings and as you say, "you fall where you fall" regardless of current class affiliation.

In Basketball you have more 3 seeds and 4 seeds that upset #1 & #2 seeds than you ever have in Football, for that very reason I would not send just your top 2 seeds. But in Basketball, some regions are doing the "super region" where every team in the region makes the regional tournament, and they do away with the district tournament.

PC by however many they want it to be. Clocker runner no doubt.

Is Foley in trouble at SW? Seems like he has not been able to get the kids he has been accustomed to getting to play for him.

I love the Somerset/Pulaski though it has not been played the last few years, Pulaski/Southwestern and Southwestern/Somerset.

Very good clean played game. Taylor wore Etown down in the 2nd half, Taylor's OL was to a man probably 30-40 pounds bigger than Etown. Game was tied at half, both teams made adjustments, but Taylor just wore them down.

That will be a decision that will be made by NFHS who oversees all High school rules.

Thank you, and I get what you are saying, but somewhere along the line there has to be a limit of how many times, a kid can transfer, and how many years of eligibility he has. I mean we have grown men, 24, 25-year-olds playing college football.

I don't mean be combative in any way, but with teams on week 4 of their schedules, wouldn't that disrupt team chemistry to add a player now? I would imagine that all the NIL money has been exhausted, so there would be no funds for them at the new school. I guess they could sit out the rest of the season and maintain a year of eligibility. I mean we have what kids playing 8 years of college football now. This whole thing is out of control in my opinion.

I'm not sure I understand your question. The portal is not open now for any players to transfer, I don't think it opens until the first of December.

I do not like that, too much to be left to the discretion and judgment of an official. Officials are under scrutiny enough without adding this to them. Now, what I would be in favor of is for this to be reviewed like the targeting is review. The review official has a chance to see if it was intentional or not. If it is deemed intentional, they make it a spot foul.

I don't see ND making the CFP this year, their schedule does not do them any favors the rest of the way. I am not an ND fan at all, but I do like Freeman, just wish he was somewhere else besides ND.

The Va Tech job is interesting, on who they will pursue, and who is likely to take it. I think Shane Beamer, would be their first choice, but would he leave the SEC for the ACC? Va Tech has done nothing since Daddy Beamer, left and that was a messy situation. Which could have left a sour taste in Shane's mouth as well.

I think this is a great question. I don't know that Pulaski starting guards are Seniors. They only have 9 seniors listed on their roster. Both teams are well coached, and both teams will be greatly improved by week 6. I think the home team will have an advantage, but they will be an awesome game, and I'm glad to see Pulaski stepping up their schedule since Coach Burns has taken over.

With some games still to go on Saturday, but from what I've watched today, is the very reason, there is no need for a preseason poll, or a preseason Heisman race. Texas did not look good, and Arch, who I think will be much better, but after today he's the fourth best Manning to play QB, and does not look like a Heisman finalist. No way Bama should be in the top 10 and FSU not even rated? Another reason I wish they would shut up with all the preseason, junk. Wait until the First Monday in October to do a top 25! But if they do that we would have nothing to debate until the season started.

As I stated on a previous post, preseason rankings and even the rankings after the 1st week are a joke. OC 8th in the state? Who are we kidding, I'm not sure how many teams below them they could beat. Personally, I don't take rankings seriously until week 4 or 5, even in the college game. Relax everyone there's a lot of football left to be played.

I think BG is ranked more on reputation, than actuality. BG lost a ton last year in the field general, let alone the lost in other key positions. I am a guy that says we need to wait until at least week 5 to begin to rank teams, by that time we should know, who has a legit shot, and who is just dressed up but nowhere to go.

Let me state it again, WHY be so bent on using RPI (e.g. football when you get down to the Regional final), but do not use it to seed teams in other sports?
