Since the KHSAA is so bent on using the RPI, why do we have a blind draw instead seed teams according to the RPI?  You have top of the 3 teams in the state 2 will battle in the first round (Daviess County and South Warren) with the winner to face possibly Henderson County, so in one weekend you will eliminate 2 of the top 5 teams in the state instead of having them around for the 2nd weekend. Makes no sense to have a blind draw when you are so determined to use RPI.  Any thoughts?

The quarterfinals of the 2025 Clark's Pump-N-Shop Softball State Tournament presented by UK HealthCare began on Saturday at John Cropp Stadium on the campus of the University of Kentucky in Lexington.

 

Due to inclement weather, the Henderson County vs. Daviess County quarterfinal game was suspended in the bottom of the 4th inning with Henderson County leading 1-0. The game will be resumed Sunday at 1 p.m. ET.

The remaining quarterfinal games are scheduled for Sunday at 3:30 p.m. and 7 p.m.

The tournament is scheduled to reconvene with both installments of the semifinals on Friday, followed by the championship game on Saturday.

Championship game times for both softball and baseball on Saturday have been revised due to forecasted weather conditions and the now-strong likelihood of significant impact on Saturday evening.

The Clark’s Pump-N-Shop Softball State Championship game, presented by UK HealthCare, will now begin at 12 p.m. (ET), and the Clark’s Pump-N-Shop State Baseball Championship game, presented by UK HealthCare, will now begin at 1 p.m. (ET).

There are no changes to Friday’s schedule at this time; however, all involved should be prepared for adjustments due to weather.
