  1. Are you kidding me? Weak? Top to Bottom? Another early exit? First, the 9th district is arguably one of the toughest in the state, and one of those teams will not make the regional tourney. At Muhlenberg, you have one of the best coaches anywhere who gets the most out of his players. Grayson has a good mix of players as does Meade. Daviess struggled at McLean earlier this week. This region is anything but weak, but as with most regions you have teams that are not in the discussion. I still think Owensboro is still the team to beat, but I would not sleep on Daviess or Apollo. If the 3rd can get a good draw at the State Tourney, they could make a deep run in Lexington.
  2. OHS seems to play to the level of their competition. That may cost them later on.
  3. When as a team you shoot 22% you don't score to many points
  4. Kentucky and Pitt. If those two teams were playing Al Qaeda I promise you I'd cheer for Al Qaeda
  5. Seen both of these teams this past weekend in Muhlenberg. Both are very good teams, I'm wondering if Hoptown will be to athletic for Knott Co.
  6. Congrats to all the players who were named either 1st 2nd or HM. Congrats to Coach John Hines as Coach of the year! All State is just like All Pro or All Star every year someone gets snubbed.
  7. Congrats to Mr. Sindelar, Coach Barnes and all of the Caldwell Co Football Family.
  8. They did beat Henderson, no crazy ending, Simmons simply dribbled the ball on the sidelines, and then shoved off before he hit a half court shot.
  9. I'm with Mountain Ref, he will just be another RB on the roster. Just hope he gets his degree and makes the most out of his education. Don't think Football is his future.
  10. As a Big XII Fan, (WVU to be specific), the conference all year was stating, ONE TRUE CHAMPION because all 10 teams played each other, and what happened? Baylor beat TCU, WVU beat Baylor and both Baylor and TCU were declared, Co-Champions from the conference that was going to have one true champion. IMO Baylor nor TCU belonged because our commissioner could not or would not declare a champion and we do not have a conference championship game. As a hater of the BCS, I'm excited about the 4 team playoff, is that all it should be? For now, YES! Maybe in a few years when the tweak it some, we can move to 8, but please no more than 8.
  11. Pretty good, however, I would have Daviess Co. 3rd and move Meade down.
  12. Sorry, did not mean to insult Mr. Alexander. I have seen Harris play, granted he is a talented back, very good quickness and speed. However, when I look at the backs that are at Alabama now, Henry, Yeldon, Harris is not in that class at all! Harris is good, I don't see him as great. I hope the young man proves me wrong.
  13. Simmons dribbled the ball on the sidelines, and shoved off as well. Nothing questionable about it.
  14. I will be real honest guys, I don't see Harris being all that. He is no doubt a good RB, but I don't see him being "the" running back. I don't think he is as good as Shaun Alexander was in High School, and we all know how good Alexander was in College and the NFL.
  15. SK very nice team. Big girl inside hard to handle. #35 seems like she can score at any time. Very well coached.
  16. Having seen all 7 of these young men play this year in person, if I had a vote, which I don't, but if I did my top 3 would be: Drum roll please: #3. Beau Hoge #2. Cody Crider #1. Elijah Sindelar
  17. You know, about 4 months ago, I was hearing how big and strong and fast Bama was, and how they would blow WVU out. Although they did beat us, they didn't blow us out, and a fathom out of bounds late hit and a couple of dropped passes, who knows what happens. That being said, if the OSU team that destroyed Wisconsin, who knows. I think Bama wins, but I've also learned that when Meyer has nothing to lose, he will pull out all the stops. I do think this game is a lot closer than most folks think. Last time to the Sugar bowl was a nightmare for Nick.
  18. I'm convinced the reason Dana left the starters in was not to send a message to Clemson but to the ACC for skipping WVU and selecting Pitt and Syracuse. I wish we would have hung a 100 on them.
  19. Here's what I love. In '06 we played the SEC Champion Georgia in the Sugar Bowl that was played in Atlanta because of the Hurricane Katrina and the damage it done to the Superdome and it was the coming out party for one Pat White and Steve Slaton, and no one out side of WV gave us a chance to win. In '08 we played Big XII Champion Oklahoma and 87% of the ESPN Sportsnation predicted a blow out by Oklahoma, and it was the coming out party for one Noel Devine and WVU beat Oklahoma 48-28, then this year 78% of ESPN Sportsnation predicted a Clemson win and even ESPN's own Kirk Heirbstreit predicted a blowout by Clemson. It was a blow out but not my Clemson. Even this year folks forget that WVU put over 500 yards of total offense against LSU, and it was two plays in that game that made the difference. I'm not saying that WVU would have won, but the fumble return was a huge difference in the Clemson game. But WVU can play football, I wish we were going to the SEC, but I think we will do fine in the Big XII, just hope we are there next year.
  20. If memory serves me correct, there was NOT a Kentucky High School last year that beat Rockcastle, maybe we can have a repeat of that this year. However, on any given night, Manual can be beat as can Marion or PCC. Just my $.02
