The 2024-2025 College Football Championship game is Jan. 20 at 7:30 pm on ESPN.   The game is being played in Atlanta's Mercedes-Benz Stadium and OSU is an 8.5 favorite.  The O/U is 46.5.  Who wins the first 12 team college football playoff?

Also, I have no idea what uniforms are being worn but I am definitely all for this!

This feels like an Ohio State route.

I am crossing my fingers that I am wrong as I grew up a huge Irish fan (fell out of love with Brian Kelly at the helm), but I'm just not seeing it.

I think Ohio State wins but I would prefer to see Notre Dame win. I picked Notre Dame in the BGP contest for a better chance at winning lol.

With some of the injuries that ND is dealing with on the OL heading into this game, I don't see how they are going to block OSU front 7 to give Leonard time to throw, or open holes for Love to get through. I voted and I think OSU wins going away.

I'd love to see Notre Dame win as I'm an Irish fan but it's going to take some mistakes by OSU to let the Irish win this one.  The Buckeyes just have more talent, bought with $20 million this offseason.  I thought Ohio State was winning the playoff the moment the bracket came out, but I'd be glad to be wrong.  However, I think this is where the Irish's lack of a strong vertical passing game to complement the run finally catches up to them.

It's been a great ride for Marcus Freeman but now is not the time he gets a title.

Because it would interfere with NFL playoff games, so it's always been Monday.

The 20 million dollar roster conversation is a tired one. They spent little of that on bringing players in and spent majority on getting high talent players to return they they already had.

Oregon was rumored to have spent around 23 million, Texas was rumored to have spent more NIL than anyone.

As Saban alluded to, it doesn’t matter if a team spent 100 million if you can’t figure out which talent to play or get it to play as a team.

I agree with Bugs, I expect this one to get out of hand. Notre Dame won't be able to sustain drives, so they'll need to score on big plays or on OSU mistakes (turnovers).

I see Ohio State hanging 40+ up in this game.

They could. Or college football could start a few weeks earlier and then they wouldn't interfere with the NFL playoffs. Plenty of options.

This could very well be a repeat of the Orange Bowl in 2012 when Alabama beat ND 42-14.
