What an impressive opening drive by the Irish! 

A great opening drive for the Irish! Leonard put the Irish on his back on that drive. A 9:45 18 play drive and the Irish led 7-0. Ohio State to get the ball now with just 5:15 left in the first quarter. The Irish could not ask for a better start to this one.

And Notre Dame muscled the OSU defense. I know it was the opening drive, will be interesting to see how the rest of the game goes.

OSU looks more like a pro team to me. 

Ohio State answers back with a 11 play 75 yard 6:05 drive of their own to tie it at 7 early in the 2nd quarter. The Irish have to punt on the 2nd possession.

OSU is methodical on offense.

I really think ND needs to do something on this drive.  

Ohio State scores on their 2nd possession this one a 10 play 76-yard drive and they now led the Irish 14-7 with 6:25 left in the 2nd quarter

ND has shown no reason to believe that they can stop Ohio State in any way. Short of turnovers or penalties by the Ohio State offense, they are probably going to score on every possession of the game.

Danger time for the Irish. If they can't score or run the clock out, I think they'll go into halftime down 10-14 points and have to kick to the Buckeyes to open the 2nf half. If Notre Dame gives the ball up, they might be down 28-7 when they get the ball in the third quarter.

Agree. Ball game on the line for ND on this drive.

A big pickup by the Buckeyes on a 3rd and 7. The Irish are hurting if Ohio State keeps it the rest of the half plus they get the ball to begin the 3rd quarter.

After the Irish 75 yards on their opening drive they have only had 11 since then.

Howard is on fire for the Buckeyes! Ohio State has another long drive this one 12 plays for 80 yards and now led 21-7.
