The Warriors enter this one reeling. They’re sitting at 1-7 and desperately looking for something to turn the season around. Their lone bright spot from their last loss to South Laurel was Tayden Richardson came in at Q and threw for close to 300.

The Maroons were down 13-14 to North Laurel, but got red hot and won in a clock runner 49-14. They’ve now not lost in district and are starting to get hot for the playoffs. The downside is they likely lost QB Zak Anderson for the year in the W.

I don’t remember it being this one sided since 2019 when SW caught lightning in a bottle and knocked off PC while they were 3-5 and PC was 7-1. Is there any chance they can do it again, six years later?

Out for the year?

I was told he was carted off.

I would say that he is out for the year is a little premature at this stage in the game. He was carted off the field with a right knee/leg injury. He is scheduled for a MRI tomorrow, hope he gets some good news. I just think it's kinda in bad taste to go ahead and start saying out for the year right now just my opinion though. He got hurt in the North Laurel game last year as well and our backup QB Will Adams came in and led the Maroons to a easy win against Southwestern the following week and I fully expect the same this year.

PC 45

SW 7

PC by however many they want it to be. Clocker runner no doubt.

Pulaski Co. 35-7.

Sorry to hear of the Pulaski QBs injury. Hope he can make it back this season. He is a senior as I understand and I’m sure has put a lot of effort to get here. Best of luck to him.

Been verified he is out for the year. Prayers for the young man, he's a great kid. Hope he makes a full recovery and gets to play in college.

Final. Pulaski gutted out a rivalry game victory over the Warriors, 22-12.

HUH???  What’s up with Pulaski on this one?  Head scratcher for sure to me.

They were up 22-0 in 2nd half. Gave up a TD and stopped PAT, then I think SW recovered an onside kick and then hit a big play in the drive to either score or nearly score. That got it to 22-12, Pulaski buckled down and put it away after that.

Rivalry games in general can result in some unexpected scores.  This one in particular has had some wild outcomes over the years.

I am sure Pulaski probably struggled a bit without their starting QB. Pair that with it being a huge rivalry game and you've got the recipe for a close game.
