Dang, that's tough! Congrats to Mason on coming back and getting the victory. It seems like Boone has improved they just can't get over the hump and win these games now!

I see that Mason County won 38-26. Anyone have any recap on this one? Was it close throughout?

Congrats Coach Pence, his staff, and all of those young men at Walton! Pretty awesome start to the season for WV. Coach Pence has a good thing going over there in Walton

The Young Cougars had chances in the first half. A dropped TD, a couple of 3rd and 4th and longs that they let SK convert. Offense drove the ball into the red zone twice and stalled out. Kudos to SK in that first half. They made the big plays when they needed them and have built a nice lead at halftime.

That makes sense. No disrespect to HC, but I know they have struggled a bit this season. I look for Dixie to open the scoreboard up a bit once they return to play!

How is Dixie looking? To be honest I thought that they would be winning by a larger margin, even though it's only the end of the first quarter.

Manual will win this one. Cooper has put together a nice start to the season and should still have a good shot at winning their district, but, they aren't on the same level as Manual this year. Manual by 3 scores.

Don't get too excited yet. They'll have their hands full 👍I think the final was 41-14, but moot point. Congrats to the Cougars, and Chase Floyd, on the first of many wins! NCC has a nice 1A team, but their QB has to be more of a threat to throw the ball if they want to have a chance at really making some noise in the playoffs.Give me the Bearcats! Boone came out strong but NCC really took the air out of the sails. WV picked up a lot of momentum with an almost running clock last week and they will carry that over tomorrow and win by one score. WV - 21 Boone - 13Outside of like 2-3 games, is this the worst Saturday slate of games this entire season? Ohio State/Texas will be worth the wait, but, not many other games even raise an eye brow for me......but I will still watch all day!! 😄My prediction.... CovCath is too much. Dixie just needs to focus on staying healthy and competing as hard as they can for 4 quarters!
Their last two graduating classes were LOADED with talent. Even a big public school like Ryle will have a little drop off. They also start a sophomore at QB so I am sure they are experiencing some growing pains as well.Can anyone give a recap of the game? Not taking anything away from Cooper, but, how badly did Ryle play tonight? Obviously, they couldn't get anything going offensively! Congrats to the Jags! That has to feel pretty nice, being a Ludlow Alum!I don't really have a strong argument on why I feel this way, but I feel like Scott County is 14-17 points better than BG this season. The experience they have returning, plus Emongo will be the best player on the field, leads me to believe the final will look something like: Scott County - 35 Bowling Green - 21Lloyd has a very good team this year, and they have built themselves into a solid 3A squad that should make some noise in November. They have yet to be battle tested, and Conner has show improvement from week 1 to week 2. If Conner can play 4 quarters like they did last week in the second half against Ryle, then I think they have a real shot at getting a win this week! It should be a heck of a game in Erlanger this Friday!Have a good feeling that this is a picture that a lot of photographers will be taking of this young man. Him running past defenders, looking back to see how close they are, as he is speeding into the end zone for a TD!No knock on the Pioneers here, but, CovCath.....big! CovCath will rebound from a big loss to probably the best team in the Cincinnati Tri-State area (Princeton would like to have a word about that comment), but Elder seems to have all of the tools this season. CovCath has more weapons, more experience, better skill players and better lineman. CovCath - 42 SK - 14Saw Madison Central last week against Conner. They are very talented and run that offense to perfection. They have a hard nosed Fullback and QB that run that option offense to perfection. They will struggle when they meet a team that equals their size and athleticism, but I would definitely say they are a top 10 team in the state this season.This doesn't sound good. But, the story almost sounds ridiculous in the same breath. Why would anyone show underage kids a picture of boobs? Like, come one, really?Conner has to get healthy and play much better defensively than what they showed last week. Ryle seems to still be trying to figure some things out offensively. It will be interesting to see if the very young Cougar team can grow up quickly this week. Good luck to both teams and hopefully it is a hard fought game and both teams come out healthy.
