Obama won hands down. It wasn't the best debate but based on what it was, Obama dominated. Listening to some of the Republican supporters, they expressed concern about McCain's performance. He better bring his "A" game to the next debate if he wants to have any chance of persuading the undecided and the Independents. If he doesn't, it all over.[/QUOTE]

^Go to CNN and read some of the comments about any political topic....They are far worse, but since they're in the other direction I can understand why you omitted them.

Fox more Partisan than CNN? Are you being sarcastic...

Not sure who won, but I can tell ya the real losers in this whole thing....The American people.
:thumb: In the words of Charles Barkley, everybody involved with last night's game was just turrible, just turrible. McCain and Obama mostly delivered snippets of their stump speeches and the moderator showed why he should not be Tim Russert's permanent replacement on Meet the Press.

I love the comments on FoxNews about the debate:

-McCain clearly won.

-Voting for Obama is just like saying dont stand behind America and what this country stands for.

-OBAMA IS A DNAGER TO AMERICA

-I AM MOVING TO CANADA IF OBAMA WINS!!

-I think Obama is the anti-christ.

-Sick to my stomach with worry over our future if Obama is elected.

-I used to be a Democrat but after witnessing the dirty tactics ( Acorn and downright Lies ) of the Democratice party, I am now a Republican.

-The American people lost this debate because Brokaw kept spinning and guiding the debate by spewing left wing rheoteric.

-Obama is not only not trustworthy, he is diabolical. If he does get elected it will be God’s punishment over American who had shad so much innocent blood through abortion.

-I believe Obama IS the most “Clear and present danger this country has EVER faced. Obama is a Socialist!

-OBAMA IS A LIAR!!! HE WILL SAY ANYTHING TO GET INTO OFFICE!! HE HASN’T BEEN IS POLITICS LONG ENOUGH TO BE PRESIDENT! ARE YOU PEOPLE CRAZY??

-God help us if Obama wins. Please get educated before you vote, know the facts. Pray McCain wins.

Actually, God help us all.

I did not watch Fox for very long after the debate but what I heard was far different than what you heard. What I heard was that McCain probably won on points but barely and that his performance was far short than what he needed to make a dent in Obama's lead. I also heard a lot of criticism and disappointment in McCain's promise to delve deeper into the housing business by bailing out individuals holding mortgages that they cannot afford.

Honestly, the demonization of Fox News by liberals really gets old. I doubt that there was nearly as much criticism of Obama on any network as there was of McCain on Fox last night.

The Fox News question of the day is "Who won the second presidential debate in Nashville?"

Just under 74,000 responses so far. Obama 58%, McCain 42%. ON FOX NEWS.

Drudge has it 65-31 McCain with 184,000 responses. Roger Simon has a good point that McCain lost by not winning. He's behind and needed to shake things up. He didn't.

Pretty much a tie. Both were sleep inducing. The questions were absolutely rancid.

I wondered if I was the only one that felt this way. I am usually very attentative during these type things, but last night sure put my lights out! I didnt see anything promising from either candidate!:thumb:

Brokaw supposedly had thousands of questions from which to choose - and THOSE were the most interesting that he could find? Jim Lehrer worked diligently to encourage the candidates to differentiate themselves from one another. Brokaw's mission seemed to be to make sure that nothing interesting took place last night.

You summed that up well.

I was flipping between ABC, MSNBC, and Fox. All three said about the same thing.
