SvFan4life Posted May 25, 2007 Posted May 25, 2007 At this time based on what they've achieved. IMO here are some that should be. Greg Maddux Tom Glavine John Smoltz Craig Biggio Barry Bonds-unfortunately Derek Jeter Roger Clemens Trevor Hoffman Here are some, who are some others?
cshs81 Posted May 25, 2007 Posted May 25, 2007 Is Hoffman a "lock?" It seems that its much harder to enter the Hall as a reliever regardless of the stats.
mcpapa Posted May 25, 2007 Posted May 25, 2007 Jeter needs a couple more years. Biggio is on the fringe. I would rate Griffey Jr.'s chances just as good.
Jim Schue Posted May 25, 2007 Posted May 25, 2007 Ken Griffey Jr. Alex Rodriguez Mariano Rivera Randy Johnson
cshs81 Posted May 25, 2007 Posted May 25, 2007 I'm assuming the lack of Griffey's name on your list is simply a slip of the mind.
cshs81 Posted May 25, 2007 Posted May 25, 2007 Jeter needs a couple more years. If his last game was tonight, he's a lock.
Jim Schue Posted May 25, 2007 Posted May 25, 2007 Jeter needs a couple more years. Biggio is on the fringe. I would rate Griffey Jr.'s chances just as good. Biggio will have 3,000 hits, probably by the All Star break. He's a lock.
mcpapa Posted May 25, 2007 Posted May 25, 2007 Someone else who has (sometimes) quietly put up some nice lifetime stats is Gary Sheffield. If by some miracle he gets back to the show, Rickey Henderson goes on the list.

Interesting that your list contains only 2 ALers and one of those being Clemens.

Rumor has it that he will sign with the A's late in the year and immediately re-retire so he can retire with the team he started with.
SvFan4life Posted May 25, 2007 Author Posted May 25, 2007 Interesting that your list contains only 2 ALers and one of those being Clemens. Hmmm, didn't think about that happening like that, but I'm sure there is more AL players.
ladiesbballcoach Posted May 25, 2007 Posted May 25, 2007 Probably should add Mr. Corkbat to the list. Sammy Sosa
bugatti Posted May 25, 2007 Posted May 25, 2007 Curt Schilling Manny Ramirez (?? Maybe) Pedro Martinez On Hoffman.... He is going to retire as the runaway all-time saves leader. He may not be first ballot material, but baseball is to stat driven to keep him out.
