ChiefSmoke Posted January 22, 2020 Posted January 22, 2020 From Zack Klemme: Josh Hughes has resigned as Lewis County football coach, per high school principal Jack Lykins.
Bandit29 Posted January 22, 2020 Posted January 22, 2020 Eli Florer who currently is an assistant coach at Holmes would be a good fit.
Pi Posted January 22, 2020 Posted January 22, 2020 Eli Florer who currently is an assistant coach at Holmes would be a good fit. Absolutely a great choice. Lions would be lucky to have a great young coach like him!!
Coach2002 Posted January 23, 2020 Posted January 23, 2020 They are putting a hiring board together and looking to have a coach in place by the end of February. Do they have any assistance that would be looking at taking the head coaching job?
newarkcatholicfan Posted January 28, 2020 Posted January 28, 2020 I hope they go outside of the box and get a coach who wants to stay there and turn things around.
Pick-six Posted January 28, 2020 Posted January 28, 2020 They are putting a hiring board together and looking to have a coach in place by the end of February. Do they have any assistance that would be looking at taking the head coaching job? I have heard that the middle school coach is interested.
Bandit29 Posted January 31, 2020 Posted January 31, 2020 They should at least see if Eli Florer is interested. Would be a "touchdown" hire!
Pick-six Posted January 31, 2020 Posted January 31, 2020 They should at least see if Eli Florer is interested. Would be a "touchdown" hire! Is there a connection with Lewis County? Just curious.
MikeHonchoLives Posted January 31, 2020 Posted January 31, 2020 They should at least see if Eli Florer is interested. Would be a "touchdown" hire! He wouldn’t be interested. I have it on good authority he is biding his time at Holmes as an assistant getting good experience and learning, before he gets to come home to his dream job in Brooksville! Once the Chainsaw Tim Carver retires in glory, he’ll receive a hero’s welcome and we’ll have hometown football, basketball and baseball coaches. What more could a Brooksvillian ask for!?
Kentucky9 Posted February 2, 2020 Posted February 2, 2020 Next year wins and losses, team continuity, and the prevention of injuries are being determined now. I hope at Lewis and all the other programs seeking coaches that this is understood. With the season Lewis had NOW is the time to make gains in the right direction.
Coach2002 Posted February 15, 2020 Posted February 15, 2020 Heard they are doing interviews nexts week, and naming a coach the week after.
Kentucky9 Posted February 15, 2020 Posted February 15, 2020 Who does Lewis play in the annual Grid-O-Rama? It'll be interesting to see what they look like then.
Coach2002 Posted February 17, 2020 Posted February 17, 2020 I’m hearing that Lewis County is narrowing it down to 2 coaches for the head coaching job.
Pick-six Posted February 17, 2020 Posted February 17, 2020 I’m hearing that Lewis County is narrowing it down to 2 coaches for the head coaching job. Any info on the 2?
