Colonels_Wear_Blue
Removing those who died past the age of 70, and the 1 wresting manager from the list, that's 38 WWE wrestlers who have died since 1992. That's an average of 1-1/2 wrestlers a year who die young. Cardio-Pulmonary Causes - 17 Overdose - 10 Suicide - 4 Murder - 3 Cancer - 2 Accidental Death - 2 Diabetes -

dpeevh
It’s a tough business. You’re on the road constantly which leads to an unhealthy lifestyle. One minute you’re the greatest thing since sliced bread, the next minute you’re a jobber. Some put their profession ahead of everything including their family and their health. Many chase dreams at their own expense. And they all have one thing in common. They chose to do it
I gotta go to work
This new "era" of WWE overall live much healthier lifestyles than those of the 1980s and 1990s and even some of those on the list from the 2000s. I think we will see this trend go down some with the current talent. However, I do think wrestling needs some type of "offseason." An extra day or an extra week off around holidays or something like that. Not going to happen though. They work 4-5 nights a week traveling around the world all year long. I agree with all of this, and I would add that WWE has a standing policy to pay for any former or current employee's rehab. Plus you have guys like Diamond Dallas Page, who take an active role in helping former wrestlers who are struggling. So I do think it will improve some, but there definitely needs to be extended time off for workers. They could pull it off without a full blown off season, but something needs to happen. 16thBBall Fan
I wonder if the wrestlers that die from suicide should be checked for CTE like football players?
Colonels_Wear_Blue
I wonder if the wrestlers that die from suicide should be checked for CTE like football players? If I'm not mistaken, they had cause to believe Chris Benoit did have CTE.
