If you want to hear an incredible number, think about this. This is a JV tourney which has gotten little to no pub and has raised over $100,000 in 5 years. That’s amazing. What’s even scarier is some of these parents think their kid is going to make his living playing baseball. To be that naive to think they’ll do one now and another later is incredible. I played with maybe the best pitcher in NKY in the last 30 years and he never made the show, where the money is. Came close but didn’t get there. It’s almost an impossibility to play mlb.

Skip the season and the region tourney and get to the state tourney. Every other team just cancel your season. It only takes one bad day or one great pitching performance. Just ask 2005 Beechwood team or 2009 CCH team.

Haven’t seen a game in 5-6 weeks. Is Nowak still getting some good minutes? When I caught a few games early in year, loved his D and his ability to “upset” the man he was guarding.

I’m sure it’s very rare. I had a cousin who played on 2000 CCH team. They had Harmon, Durr, Kunkel and Maynard who went D1 although Durr was not primarily a pitcher but was said to have touched 90. Also had Fry (sp? ) and Hembree who pitched college ball as well. Think a couple of JV guys that year also pitched college. Had Grogan at ss who played D1 as well.

Sorry but judging by scores Ryle has had lately, shouldn’t have come down to that if Boone is truly only team capable of beating top two.

We’ve heard about AK for Cooper. What about AJ for CCH? He’s not exactly a role player for them. Any idea if he’s playing anytime soon?

Some long tenured coaches at JV level have left for different reasons this offseason. Definitely late in game to be leaving but work is work and takes priority.

I don’t have opportunity see many games of CCH, obviously none in Florida, but it seems to me that CJ goes out of games a lot with blood just from earlier games I’ve read about on BGP. Does he have a target on him from other teams or am I off base?

Highlands keeps reloading with pitchers like CCH did in 90’s, early 2000’s. Makes it hard for other teams to compete

I’ll attempt to answer. I know AJ fairly well. School is extremely important to him. He is not placing his eggs in one basket called the NFL. He has plans and unlike many at his age, he’s looking ahead. He also has a cousin who was all everything in baseball for Cch and UK. That has translated into a pro career but not a hugely successful one ( by MLB standards, not mine ). He has seen how hard it is to play professionally and just how good you have to be to make it. I think Miami is perfect for him. I wish him success there and if he goes further, great. If not he will be just fine with his education from a very above average university.
