After watching 1st 45 minutes of this show, I understand why these two were so good but especially why Belichick is in a class by himself. He’s a defensive genius and Parcells taught him how to be a head coach and how to push players, not be friends. Belichick came out in three different types of D in 1990 playoffs. Obviously you have to have incredibly smart players to do this but who else would have the gumption to try it and what other head coach would let him try it. Sorry Cleveland. What could have been. Maybe he needed to learn from being fired but another year or two and who knows.

During college football season I stay up late on saturdays, sit at bar in basement and watch teams from west coast who I know nothing about and could care less about. I just want to watch football. I don’t do that for basketball. If it isn’t X or UK I don’t watch. If this league is in the winter, I’ll watch because it’s football.

Two venues was an awful idea. Took flow away. I thought DX should have been at big bigger venue. Would have brought the house down. Have wanted Taker to go away for years, last night changed nothing. And I would love to see APA from time to time. Good stuff from those two.

I was born in 68. Remember football since about 77. He’s best I’ve seen in my time. I can’t tell about previous years. Can’t have an opinion on what I didn’t see. Is Belechek best of all time? PB and Halas were way before my time. They had extended periods of greatness. Lombardi had a decade of dominance. It’s all about circumstance.

I watch NFL a bunch but am losing interest somewhat. Watch Reds daily, weekend baseball game of week sometimes. NBA if nothing else on. Love hockey. It DOESNT suck and come playoff time it’s the very best. No other sport has players who sell their bodies to win championships like hockey does. Absolutely do not need to know players playing in playoffs, I can watch intensity and I get it.

Im more interested in who replaces Gruden on MNF than I am in him coaching again. I’m not sure this hire puts fear into other AFC West orgs.

Some long tenured coaches at JV level have left for different reasons this offseason. Definitely late in game to be leaving but work is work and takes priority.

Exactly. Hasn’t hurt most or any schools. Rebuild. UK hasn’t suffered from it. Look at how far they’ve gone since Cal started. Compare it to almost every other school. Not much comparison. It has hurt fans more. I know as a middle of road fan of UK I have lost some interest in them. I’m getting into NKU more and more but I know they aren’t going anywhere. So be it. I’ll root for UK in March and NKU now. Said in previous thread that if UK isn’t recruiting 5 star recruits, their fans would be unhappy as well. 30 mil is a lot of jack. If O does nothing next week I can def see Bortles being a goner. That’s why I asked about qb. When you have a team that’s ready, hard to get there with rookie at helm.
