  1. On off, they need a center badly, a change of pace rb who can catch the ball out of the backfield on 3rd down and a healthy number 2 receiver. I am starting to get worried about Dalton but he's still young. On D, they definitely need to replace RM. he got way exposed today as did Clements as a safety. I realize he is not a starter but Crocker isn't getting any younger. This team is close. Whether they have the coaching staff or not is another question
  2. They've been doing something like this at CCH forever. We did it back in the eighties. Would start about 25 yards apart and gradually go out as much as 100 by our jr/sr year. There's a decent chance the former coach at Cooper was a Krumps player. I know of at least two who used to coach there that played for him. It's a great way to strengthen your arm. I saw a video a few years back where Roger Clemens said that he started long tossing after he enrolled at Texas and it was the most important drill he did throughout his career.
  3. I can't get to any games until after the new year. Does CCH have a set starting five? Also, haven't seen Heppler's name as much as I thought I might. Is he playing significant minutes?
  4. Maines is as good as Cain when he's focused. As for the bunting not winning championships, I wish everyone could have seen the 2002 semi game against Webster County and their stud pitcher who went on to UK. He threw bunt after bunt into right field. Comical. Krumps kept doing it and Webster's coach didn't like it one bit!! CCH had all of 5 hits that game and scored 10 runs. By bunting. On their way to a title!!
  5. Mexi, Have you ever thought( and tried)of breaking into a building so you could pour concrete into a cannon? If not, you have no idea what a rivalry is!!
  6. I never played basketball but did play baseball at cch and he was my jv coach. I remember one game specifically. I had thrown 7 innings on a Friday and on the next Monday we started our jv tourney and our starter got hurt before the game. T asked if I could go. I said yes and in the 6th I wore out. He came out to get me, didn't say a word and when he got back to the dugout, he wrapped me in the biggest bear hug imaginable never saying a word. Words can't describe what that meant then and still today. RIP Coach. You will not be forgotten.
