  1. I had CPAP machine about 10 years ago and I am somewhat claustrophobic. I had no problem falling asleep but when I'd wake up I'd freak out and fake it off. I recently was re tested because my sleep is horrible and I am going to try it again. Did anyone else have a problem like this and if so, how did you get past it?
  2. I think they're all in now because as was correctly stated in today's paper, the owner wants to win now and isn't getting any younger. The player who would bring the most value is Chapman but don't see it happening.
  3. Two years ago I saw a lefty (name ? ) throw against CCH in a jv game at Highlands and said to my brother that he was better than any varsity pitcher I saw in NKY. I was told after the game he was Moe's #3 at jv!! They are on a different level right now day in and day out.
  4. Can we assume then that 1 hour after the game is over you have watched the entire game on film?
  5. CCH is down two touchdowns before the game even starts. The comments today in the paper by Pitzer where he said there are a lot of players who hope they can win this game were spot on. Not a good way to go into a big game.
  6. I think PGA is booked through at least 2019 but I have to imagine Valhalla will be in rotation every 10 years, especially since PGA owns it. If Tiger would have been in last 3 or 4 groups, the PGA of America and CBS would have had their dream scenario. Phil, Rory, Fowler and Tiger. With all the injuries and what not and with Tom Watson not making his captains picks until early Sept, any chance he takes Tiger?
  7. Not a huge fan of the course but man it always brings excitement every time they are there. Crowds looked huge and loud. That was a ton of fun to watch. The PGA seems to be more exciting the last few years than the US Open. I love it when there's birdies to be had but trouble if you hit errant shot also.
  8. News flash: There isn't one principal who goes to any games other than regional semis, finals. There are only two AD's I know of that go to regular season games and they are at Dixie an Cooper. That's only a handful of games at that. If I'm wrong please correct me. After basketball, most are done.
  9. Just curious. All this talk of Meso at 1st sounds good and great but they have just a little bit of money tied into a certain 1st baseman who no one will take right now due to his injuries. Votto is the 1b for the foreseeable future and me so is the catcher. Period.
  10. Would you like some cheese with that whine? Congrats to st x and SK for a great tourney run and what appears to be a nice competitive game.
  11. Congrats to St X. Question. How many state titles is this for them and what do you mean by the all turf field finally paying off? Just curious.
  12. Why do you love this thread? I'd say coaches were right on. They were a .500 team and are the classic case of a team getting hot at the right time. Good luck to Pioneers tomorrow. Hope they bring it back to NKY.
  13. Not sure about this. Look at the programs that have won recently or have won a lot in the past. Schulkens, Arlo and maybe Huff let them be loose. Myerhoff, Roesel and Krumps keep it tight to the vest. Works both ways. If you are going to let them be care free you'd better have a group of seniors that can patrol things. I've talked to him on occasions over the last few years where he mentioned that his kids didn't seem to care. This year, they obviously did. I think it boils down to who has the kids who are tough and have the talent. Having a stud or two on the mound certainly doesn't hurt either as well as getting hot at the right time. Congrats to Arlo. Great guy and he finally gets his region title. Hope they represent the 9th very well next week. Good luck.
  14. Here's one thing I think we all can agree on. With all apologies to Holmes fans, glad the region is not at Meinken!! Wow. Rough outfield to say the least.
  15. I should get out more often. Thank you for your concerns. Read my post again. No where did I say you made it up or that something wasn't said. I simply implied you must have been very close because I didn't hear some of the specific language talked about from where I was at.
  16. You must be a CCH parent if you were on the end of the dugout because you can't see anything from the far end. The near end was all parents and family I assume because it was all blue. Maybe it was your child!! Also, would like to ask you a question. When CCH coach went to the mound in the 6th and 7th did you happen to hear "here comes the old man again" from the beechwood bench? Or did you hear the "ole" chant in the top of the 6th when beechwood scored 4? A lot of people on here are making comments on here that weren't even at the game. Tell the whole story if you're going to post something . These are two talented teams that don't really like each other and frankly, don't really respect each other either. And guess what. There's nothing wrong with that at all. It's fun to watch. I know when I played in this series, I loved it. Nothing better than playing and hopefully beating your rival.
  17. Marty is arrogant but no one calls a big play better. He's the best pbp announcer I've ever heard. Not a fan of Thom unless it's a national game. I think Welsh and Brantley give great insight into a pitchers thought process. Grande just talks too much. Don't need all of it when game is on tv. Joe, God rest his soul, was not great but I sure miss his voice and his clear love of the game. Never be another.
  18. It's been a long time. JMO but it's the way it should be. It comes close to assuring the best team represents the 9th, not the team with the best # 1. It should benefit Dixie this year. They seem to have the most depth.
  19. 1-0 is a great game at any level but at frosh that's not seen much. Congrats to both teams. CCH now has to beat Highlands once more. Think they have gotten them at least 3 times. Tough to beat a good team like Highlands that many times.
  20. Why did the birds cancel yesterday's games against Moeller and CCH a month ago and then turn around and play two? The round robin with those two schools was put together by Highlands. Just curious.
  21. I've watched him twice, against CCH and NCC. He has a presence on the mound and knows what he's doing. One worry. Against both he easily threw his curve over 50% of the time. He is not a big kid by any means. I hope he holds up. Fun to watch.
  22. I think 4-1 sounds like a great game. Usually means good D and small amount of walks. Throwing 71 isn't a crime. Maybe you meant nothing negative but it didn't come across that way. I watch a lot of kids who throw upper 70s to low 80s who are constantly behind 2-0, 3-1. That's boring.
  23. The ump who shall go nameless always makes sure he gets the spotlight. He loves the confrontation and I'll leave it at that. I thought he missed two strikes in the 7th. One on a 2-1 pitch to Radcliff that was a great pitch on outside corner. The other was strike 3 against Beechwood that would have ended the game but he struck out anyway two pitches later. Interesting contrast of two coaches. Krumps doesn't say much to ump but when he does it's loud. Mullins is constantly chirping in their ear just loud enough for the ump to hear. Great game by two very nice teams.
  24. I am assuming your point is that Boone's pitcher is that good?
