  1. Blah, blah, blah! So tired of it. St H baseball has NO chance with Otte and Grau!! Any "good" coaches, parents and perspective players know this by now. A once very good program gone until Grau and Otte resigns. End of Story and thread!! If you don't believe me ask any of the 6 coaches that coached for St H in the last 5-6 years and their Sr players. JOKE!! No commitment from Otte or Grau!! So where is the problem? Starts at the top folks!! Do not send your child there to play baseball or softball unless they can stand on their own. PERIOD!!
  2. Spot on Keubb!! Very well stated!! The St. Admin. DOES NOT CARE ABOU THE BASEBALL OR SOFTBALL PROGRAMS!!
  3. sweet16 and deevh: 1. how can a coach run a program when they first step into a first year program? Its takes years to get a solid program under control. 2. As I've stated before: In over 5 years and many banquets, I've never seen the St H principal / Mr Otte there.
  4. Otte and Grau has let a once great baseball program go! Why? I have NO clue. I'm sick and tired of seeing coaches roll in and out of St H. That's clearly an AD and Admin issue. I am standing up for the kids/young men that believe in this program. My son went through so many coaches that its not even funny. This is high school, not little league folks. The young men deserve better than this. This program could be a great platform for these kids to advance to a higher level / college. Now, it's a laughing freaking stock in the HS baseball community. You cannot challenge this statement. Until someone gets their head out of their behind it will always be this way. Support me or not, I speak for the Seniors and incoming kids.
  5. FYI Colcru13: I did have a student that went there and played for many years!!! I watched very closely and made very good notes. My comments are fact and stand as is!! More facts: Otte has NEVER been to game in 5 years and NEVER showed up for the end of the year banquets. Really? Very sad!!!
  6. Just Jim; don't know where you are sitting at the games but I've personally been to countless games for many years and have NEVER seen Mr. Otte, much less that so called AD , which is another sad story. Regarding your comments about the fund raising: I'm surprised you haven't noticed the brand new 50K soccer and track and field press box, oh and the soccer teams practice field, but little to no money has been spent on the baseball and or softball programs for approx. 4-6 years, perhaps even longer. I had heard that they were supposed to spend 30K on the field before the season started last year. Like to know where that money went. LOL!! As you probably know, Walt spent his own money in many cases on the field as he personally took pride in the field. Regarding your comments about Coach Schmidt. He did a great job given what he walked into. It was a very fragmented program at best that has no support from the Administration. Communication problems? Perhaps, but understand he was a first year HS coach and was learning the program and insights of being a HS coach. The baseball and softball programs will ALWAYS take a back seat to the all other sports programs at St. Henry unless things change at St. Henry.
  7. Coach Schmidt released a text to the Seniors and other baseball players at St Henry saying that he is leaving St Henry for Turpin. Can't say I blame him, given the lack of support from the St H administration. The principal of St H has not been to ONE game in over 5 years!! That itself is shameful!!St H Administration promised to help fix the aging field but little money was given to the program. I truly feel for the incoming Seniors.
  8. Anyone know about Coach Mullins At the Yard 17 yr old team. Hear they have a pretty good team. ???
  9. Beech bum and History: King did indeed make the All-Star team. In fact he pitched in the All-Star game last night and looked really sharp. BTW, all the young men from the All-Star game had a blast. It was really fun to watch these boys have some fun. I even saw Rogers from St Henry with some of the boys from Conner try to do the hidden ball trick. All for fun of course. The boys couldn't stop grinning / smiling, so of course it didn't work. Great bunch of young men that have the highest respect for their follow players / competitors!! Congrats again to SK, Conner and Scott for a great run for NKY!!
  10. Clutch Hit: Read the title of the post before you post something out of region. It reads " NKY Preseason Coaches Poll"
  11. Just goes to prove that ratings do not mean anything. Way to go SK, Conner and Scott. Love it!! ha ha ha
