SportsGuy41017
How can one who seemed to have been the leading candidate have this much trouble? I seriously thought that he would have been the republican nominee.
UKMustangFan
IMO, this is outstanding news for Marco Rubio, if true.

Science Friction
I'll believe it when I see it. I'm sure he's frustrated with his lousy poll numbers compared to those of Carson and Trump(both of whom he considers not-worthy of such support). I don't see him going anywhere. He's a Bush, for goodness sakes.
4chs
Why? He did a good job as Governor, has the Bush name, although that may have actually worked against him, and had a lot of financial backing. He seems to be missing the hyperbole gene that many seem to be looking for.
Habib
No. Bush will ride it out until voting starts. I will say this: There is a pretty well researched and argued theory that candidates supported by party "establishments" win the nominations, going back to McGovern-Frazier reforms in 1972 (essentially primary voters actually voted on and chose their party's nominee instead of big wigs wheeling and dealing during the nominating conventions). Bush is the clear "establishment" candidate, so if he were to fail to win it would upset a lot of our understanding of elections. I've been in the camp that because of this Bush will end up winning the nomination. Polls are one thing, but history is another. Yet, he has been thoroughly unimpressive during this campaign. Bizarrely so. And, being a Bush in a race that will likely pit him against another political "heir," things are weird. I don't know. Rubio could very well end up being the party's chosen one if Bush continues to falter.

SportsGuy41017
Trunp and Carson has said if the format for the next debate is not changed that they will boycott it. Since they have both stated that, why not just tell them "ok, your not invited since you don't want to come, as we are not changing the format". If Trump and Carson are not there, would this help Bush and if so by how much?
SportsGuy41017
I would have thought so, if not for the unfortunate last name. I was going to start a thread about it, but the ongoing war of words over Jeb's brother, Jeb continues to be drawn into the argument/debate and it's taking away from his effectiveness, IMO. hidinout
Wouldnt be a bad thing , shows R's are not nearly as attached to the establishment as the D's ( who won't let Hilliary even get a challenge ) .

He being there increases viewership by 100-200%. Trump is sort of like Tiger Woods...whether you love him or hate him...you watch...
