🔗CAL's 2023 Statistical Leaders

2024 Outlook

With the elder Hodge matriculating at East Carolina University next season, CAL should come back to the pack a little, with Lou. Central and Lexington Catholic nipping at their heels. A strong core of young talent broke out last year, including star turns from the younger Hodge (East Carolina commit) and Garyon Hobbs (offers from UK and UofL). The 🔮 is too murky to project a third consecutive championship, but we can confidently predict that the Centurions aren't going anywhere anytime soon.

Who has thoughts on CAL?  Will it be another easy state championship for the Centurions or will a team like Lexington Catholic step up and challenge them in 2024?

The current freshman and sophomore classes are real talented.  QB next year will probably be one of two juniors, either Colin Daniels or Tyree Stoner.  That's just a guess though.  Either are good options.  Also, keep an eye on Ja'Hyde Brown at WR.  Another freshman, going to be sophomore, who will be a big time playmaker.  I think CAL stays on top for at least a few more years.

A lot of young kids from CAL picking up offers recently.  Soon-to-be sophomores JaHyde Brown & Garyon Hobbs, as well as soon-to-be freshman Kellan Hall all picked up offers from Kentucky in the last week or so.  Brown & Hobbs have also picked up offers from Miami OH, Toledo & Kent St. within the last few weeks.  Great core of young talent for the Centurions.

I stand corrected.  Hobbs offer from UK actually came back in November.  The others have all been recent.  Hobbs also has offers from IU & Purdue.  He's extremely impressive and played nothing like a freshman last year.  I believe if he continues to develop to his potential, he is a national level recruit and a legit 4 to 5 star player.

In a little bit of a twist, it appears Conner Hodge will take a majority of the snaps at QB for CAL this year.  I’m not sure where this leaves Tyree Stoner but I’m sure he’ll work his way onto the field somewhere.
