If Jeb does win the top prize, we can give a big shout-out to the conservative majority on the Supreme Court who moved us closer to a political oligopoly with Citizens United. Having said that, Citizens United only became law thanks to the five conservatives on the high court voting as a bloc in a 5-4 decision. If the race is indeed Hillary vs. Jeb, it'll be a partial result of Citizens United making it that much tougher for a Paul or Rubio or Sanders from cracking the financial threshold.
October 22, 201510 yr You know though, I've never really got the feeling that Jeb really wants the position. I feel the same way. If the Republicans were smart they'd realize that Carson and Trump aren't going anywhere. They'd get together and realize the only way to actually put forth a legit candidate is to narrow the field down to one or two guys that can actually garner support from the masses. If clowns like Cruz and Huckabee, and guys who have no shot (Christie and Jindal and unfortunately Paul), and guys that don't seem to really want it (looking at you Jeb) all dropped out and threw their support behind guys like Kasich and Rubio, Trump and Carson would be finished. I don't think they're smart enough to do it though.

He is polling slightly higher than me. Yet he has managed to raise 133 million dollars in a crowded field. We should make these candidates have the next debate while standing on street corners in red-light districts.
