Mustang
I'd be curious to know when the last time was that St. Henry gave up 86 points - and won!!!!!!
Big Fundamental
Heard Newport & St. Henry were missing guys? Any important or key players?
kyag
Looks like from the box scores Harding didn’t play.
Voice of Reason
Looks like from the box scores Harding didn’t play. That makes a difference. Harding may be player of the year in N. Ky.
Just Jim
Harding didn't play for Newport. Becker didn't play for St.Henry. McGuire probably had 30 or better and what seemed like 10 threes. Miller probably had just as many points or more, driving to the basket a lot. Vieth had to be close to 30 and Westerbeck and Bessler in the 20's. Lot of scoring. kyag
Miller 37 and McQuire 31...not a bad night.
Big Fundamental
Ok, yes, Harding out makes a huge difference for Newport. Double-double guy and force inside. Seemingly incredible night for the 2 Newport guys. And, unreal night for St. Henry with 3 guys in the 20s or 30. Vieth is a beast, and I really like Westerbecks game. Very gritty player. Bessler adding 20 puts St. H over the top. Young man coming into his own. Look out for St. Henry. Faust has those boys playing hard and getting better. JackieMoon
No doubt Newport wins with Harding. But playing without players is part of the game and teams have to know how to win with any lineup...
Oldercoach
Great win that might create so tournament momentum.
PP1
No doubt Newport wins with Harding. . Impossible to say that. If Miller and McGuire had 37 and 31 without Harding playing, would they have had that much with him playing? If he plays and scores 22, then those players probably do not get 31 and 37. I am certain 3/4ths of NKY hoops fans (minus SHHS) would agree with me.
